I agree with Leo, Mike was questioning Leo's integrity as a reporter. As discussed in other TWiT episodes, these tech reporters take their integrity very highly.
What I disagree with is throwing everyone off the air, the other attendees were put in an uncomfortable position as you can see from their expressions on the screens. I think Leo should of just have ended the call with Mike and continued with the others.

Yes it was probably a bit uncalled for and should have been handled a little differently and Leo was responsible and did actually do a public apology.

It was jarring to hear Leo drop an f-bomb, but it was certainly justified. Thing is Leo sounds so proper even when he's upset and if you're audio only it's very difficult to tell until you've been cut off. It isn't until you see his facial expressions on the stream that you can fully take in the level of annoyance he's experiencing.
I'm glad Leo called him out. He obviously hit a hard spot where Leo doesn't want people to think that he can be bought off, and that idea pissed him off. Plus this shows Leo's personal human side and we all get mad every once in a while. He is such a nice guy, this is the only clip I've seen out of thousands of hours where he looses it a little.
@noizereduction Leo is important to me. I was already watching him when I got my first PC and he and his shows took me from novice to advanced in a more fun and entertaining way (and much quicker) than if I had to learn everything on my own. I am so glad he programs twit.tv much like the heyday of TechTV, I watch it more these days than I do regular TV.

@JoshKeatonFan He knows as much about technology as my pops. He's outdated, and he thinks of himself as an authority in tech. He should just step aside and lend his seat to a more updated, young and informed tech blogger. There are tons out there who know 10x more than Laporte. It's very unfair how this old baby boomer is trying to take the place of more technically educated young professionals. @noizereduction I disagree. I think it's important to have those who experienced old technologies come into newer technologies because back then technology wasn't as automatic. Leo does get caught up in remembering those days, but he is a fine tech analyst.

@CapumOfOuttaSpace never heard leo cuss before. then again on regular tv he couldn't (Call For Help on ZDTV/TechTV) though that mike guy was being an asshole in his tone/attitide when asking/talking to Leo, but then again based solely on this clip it did seem like Leo overreacted as well, but that's going only by this clip and not by the history between those two people.

Thing is Leo sounds so proper even when he's upset and if you're audio only it's very difficult to tell until you've been cut off. It isn't until you see his facial expressions on the stream that you can fully take in the level of annoyance he's experiencing.

I'm glad Leo called him out. He obviously hit a hard spot where Leo doesn't want people to think that he can be bought off, and that idea pissed him off. Plus this shows Leo's personal human side and we all get mad every once in a while. He is such a nice guy, this is the only clip I've seen out of thousands of hours where he looses it a little.

@noizereduction Leo is important to me. I was already watching him when I got my first PC and he and his shows took me from novice to advanced in a more fun and entertaining way (and much quicker) than if I had to learn everything on my own. I am so glad he programs twit.tv much like the heyday of TechTV, I watch it more these days than I do regular TV.

@JoshKeatonFan He knows as much about technology as my pops. He's outdated, and he thinks of himself as an authority in tech. He should just step aside and lend his seat to a more updated, young and informed tech blogger. There are tons out there who know 10x more than Laporte. It's very unfair how this old baby boomer is trying to take the place of more technically educated young professionals. Take the money, Laporte - get your retirement going and stop talking like you know.

@noizereduction I disagree. I think it's important to have those who experienced old technologies come into newer technologies because back then technology wasn't as automatic. Leo does get caught up in remembering those days, but he is a fine tech analyst.

@noizereduction I agree he is hardly a tech "authority" as he fancies himself. Maybe to old ladies and newbs. But his age is irrelevant. It all comes down to how well you keep yourself informed. I know plenty of young "tech wizards" who also don't know their technology from their backsides. But back to Leo, he is sort of like the "Best Buy" of tech reviewers. Not a place someone with any real tech background would go to for information, but that the mainstream does.

When you let the dust settle and everyone calms down, you realize that Digg has a much more appropriate design for what they offer.
