@kkwillsaveus people like my grandfathers did.so i got to hear what they had to say about cost and leadership. they came back many did not from a war of attrition as directed by lloyd george and the government on one side,and the kaiser and his friends on the other. cost to the economy?
@ralphcraddock Point I was making, people like Haig took a lot of flak for apparently being inhumane, not that I view anything Osbourne is doing as similar, but sometimes in leadership short term pain has to be met with long term gain. If we ride out these tough years and get rid of our deficit, start reducing debt, the next generation will have it easier. Had Labour had a similar outlook rather than buying elections, we'd be in a better place now.
