I got so emotional during this scene. I became paralyzed over three years ago and I've been fighting for the simple pleasures of walking and running again. I'm on crutches these days, but when I saw this scene about how fascinated the captain was of such a simple concept was of dancing I really broke down. The simple things truly are worth fighting for, and I mean this
@sladunkaAa I bet he figured out pizza is not a plant once he started growing foods. I would like to see his reaction to the fact that pizza is not a plant though:D
This scene is above and beyond the conventional storytelling habits of modern american fimmaking. It's literally beyond words. Pixar are the true masters of their craft and everyone else just tries to keep up.
I can honestly say this is one of my favorite movies. I can cry just how adorable Wall-e & Eve are....its just hopelessly romantic this movie....ughh im floating away while watching....
@t00m1008 She was. They had the design guy from the iPod and Macbook involved. Also, Pixar used to be an Apple company... before it merged with Disney, meaning apple are major shareholders.
@t00m1008 Fun fact: The head designer from Apple, Jony Ive, was sent by Steve Jobs to Pixar when they asked for help designing EVE. Ive is known for designing the iPhone, iMac, and of course the iPod.
This scene is so beautifully magical it puts me in tears. the way Wall-E's "whoooo-heeeeeeee" echoes at 0:26 followed by Eve's laughter is sooo heartfelt.=] I can't express enough how much I love this film in words.
when i first heard this song i went to go see this movie with my boyfriend for his birthday and while this song was playing he looked me deep in my eyes and said i love you for the first time and we kiss while this song played in the background and now that i listen to this song i love it because it brings me back to my memories
-- this makes me cry... Gives you hope, you know? No matter how lonely or isolated we are, the right person for us might be just around the corner. Makes me very emotional and full of longing whenever I watch it. Great film.
what i like most about this film (and clip) is that wall e is the perfect match for eve, even though an advanced robot as herself would have been assumed to be paired up with a robot of her league (white shiny kinds). instead she goes for walle, the cute sensitive, rusty robot. they're breathtaking in this scene. don we see this even in our daily lives quite often.. the pretty chick with the gr8 okay looking guy. *sigh*
very cute. Especially the hidden message that the makers of this film intend to pass on at time 1:16-1:20. Read the cute message Wall-E and Eva write with their trails, to all those entranced children and let your heart groan ahhhhhhhhhhh
This should have won best movie of the year - it's one of the best movies I have ever seen. It's deep, but easy to acess, fun, but serious while still being family freindly. Way better then many of the films nominated for best picture, minimum, I think better then Slumdog Millionare.
I love WALL-E. I truly believe it's one of the best movies of all time, probably the best one I've ever seen. I totally agree with you--it should have one best movie of the year, or at least a nomination.
...unfortuantely, Slumdog Millionare featured a minority.
I've seen both movies. Yes, Slumdog was a good movie, but it was not an amazing movie, not as good as walle. If it was the same type of story, but it was set in the US or in England, I bet you it would not have gotten so much recognition.
@IWBTVB Well that's the point he's living in India where it's extremely hard to have the journey he did compared to another country. That's like saying if Wall-E was set only on Earth it probably wouldn't be as much of a spectacle or anything. But don't get my wrong Wall-E is dear to my heart but in defense of Slumdog it's not about the story, it's about the journey. :)
This is one of my 3 most fav scenes, the first was Auto showing the Captain how to open the manual and the voice authorization. Second is this scene. Third was when WALL-E returned to normal and the other bots were kinda ruining the moment... XD
This scene is so sweet, I noticed when EVE kissed WALL-E, his energy levels were going up and down, like a speeding heartbeat... and the BURN-E robot being locked out, so funny! XD
This film is about pollution on the earth in the feature. And a film about pollution has such a beautiful scene, maybe the most beautiful scene of every movie. Thanks for uploading this!
these scene is brilliant in that it shows human connection on a very basic level, with the two humans touching hand. Wall-E, after years and years of interacting with our things, became more human than we have, since technology in many ways hinders that. He sets in motion the waves of human liberation, and we find that we're cabable of a will that can rise above the circumstance.
Incidently, humans look like movie goers, in their recliners and screens and large drinks. Movie is brilliant.
