Dude, core 2 duo ain't that bad, I have it in my Gaming PC. I take skyrim on max etc, but it's Overclocked to 3.80 ghz. I render 3D in Cinema 4D in no time, but RAM is the most important thing when it comes to heavy programs and rendering tho.

Best thing about Mac's is Mac OS X. I transitioned to using Mac OS X last July (first with a desktop hackintosh and then recently I bought a Macbook Pro (for ridonkulous monies)) after using Windows for 15 years. I can't stand to use Windows now. It's a shame that Apple charges waaaaaay too much for their hardware, especially to everyone outside of America.

-All the software that Apple has to offer that comes with the iMac

- your harddrive

- your videocard

- keyboard and mouse

- the ecosystem that comes with the apple products.

and sure your cpu is faster and have more memory, but my guess your utilisation rate is isnt that big and is only interesting in peak performance that happens once in a while :-)

@DaviGotSole Sure, I could do that. With OS X 10.7, however, the iOS integration is beautiful. Never seen integration this good on any other system. There are work arounds for Android, but they aren't as smooth/easy.
