I hope one day that the whole video of this concert surfaces (hint hint Dave) Although without that silly noise over the titles and comments.
I was standing up near the front for this and it sent chills up my spine to hear all of the great Toronto (and Canadian) music that was played on that stage that day. There definitely is a Toronto Sound and it 's best heard LIVE
@1charlesallnut: You are putting words in his mouth. He didn't say "all THE original members;" he said "all original members," meaning that everyone onstage was an original member (not quite true either -- Bob Adams was new at the time.
@bass0111 So I guess it doesn't matter if he said "all THE original members" or "all original members", because, as you kindly (and I think unintentionally) pointed out, neither is true!
@bass0111 BTW Mike, it's still a fine performance of the song and it's great to hear you, Mike and Tony keeping the Mainline music alive. I think it's just a little disingenuous for this lineup to be introduced as "all original members" when Joe was the co-founder of the band, and writer and singer of this song.
@1charlesallnut: He's not disingenuous, just incorrect. You're taking it out of context. "All original members" means "everyone on stage is an original member," not "all of the band's original members are on stage." While I did note that the "everyone on stage is an original member" meaning is also factually incorrect, my main point was that the Emcee's "all original members" had nothing to do with Joe's presence or absence.
@1charlesallnut: From the horse's mouth dept. -- Perhaps I should add that the band itself counts McKenna, Mendelson, Gerrard, Nolasco, Harrison, Sheppard and Purdy as "original members".
Can you believe it, I still have that Mainline T-Shirt with the wings. Brings back a lot of memories. One of Toronto's best bands with the best of musicians.
Simply spectacular....Mike McKenna, my fave !!! perfect share thanks tons ! :)

It is a myth that Stink was "recorded in a single day". We recorded it at Trident Studios over several sessions in April and May 1969.

"All the original members..."??? What about Joe Mendelson who actually wrote this song and sang it? Get your facts straight!
