bharatanatyam is much more tiring than kathak. sure kathak has a lot of feet movement but in kathak, all the movements with the arms are completely loose. in bharatanatyam, all the hands have to be firm and strong-- and there are many more sharp movements and expressions. mythili shouldve progressed not the kathak dancer. these judges don't even know the concept of bharatanatyam.

Are you a dancer? I've learned both Bharatnatyam and Kathak and personally, I find Kathak much more difficult.  It may look easy and graceful, but that's the point...in actuality, its not.

This dance was wonderful!  I don't know much about dance but she definitely gave a dance that was full of masculinity while never quite losing the fluid grace that makes a great dancer.

I think this was one of the most impressive and flawless performances in this entire competition. It was almost haunting to see how the music was embodied in the grace and power of her dance. Although Amrapali did well too, I think this was a better performance.

I have NO idea what was going through the heads of the judges who gave her 7.

I took a 2 month intro dance class on this style and just the most basic moves are so intricate, difficult, and man....painful at times...so many things to do at once....i can't believe these judges are so STUPID...I hate them and I hate this show because of them....I hope next year they actually get judges that know about all styles of dance

Wow...she is amazing...shame the judges did not see that...she was flawless...her movement were so complete in stretches and the were clean and rigid...wow it is a shame that the judges don't know what they are looking at none of them... not sure what qualifies them as judes none of them are dancers...i guess had she done a skimppy number like aus. she would have gotten 10, but she did not compromise her dance nor her diginity...that Dance is a 10 in my book...she was flawless

iigh well i am indian. and i have been doin bharanatyam and folk and indian cinematic dancing for about 10 years and this dance was FREAKIN FLAWLESS!! THIS WASSS PERFECT! if the judges kneew the history and way it was suppose to be performed she would have gotten all 10!! I agree, I've also been doing Indian dance (bharatnatyam) for quite some time and she was absolutely perfect. Mythili was the best out of all of the Indian dancers and certainly better than her friend. I don't get why the judges gave her 7's and 8's - she clearly deserved 9's and 10s. SO BIASED.

...I am not indian...But I know the crucial things about the bharat natyam....None of the judges are qualified to judge this dance as this is the dance for the lord...which requires the devotion and the dedication.....any way this is the dance performed by lord shiva......and its awesome ...I scrutnized her every move and its flawless...Those judges had no ability to understand this form of dance....cus they are moron.....

I am American and I have always loved and appreciated Indian culture! This dance was incredible!! When I saw it on tv my jaw dropped in amazement! it'll be nearly impossible for you to find this music, unless you get it from the dancer herself. this score was probably specially composed by the dancer's instructor, or by the instructor's instructor in india, for use by this dancer. compositions for this type of dance are usually played live with the dance or recorded for a particular performance.

India - with rich culture, tradition and Classical dances which dates about 5,000 years. This form of dance by Mythili needs balance, good, speed , rhythmic movements and expressions - perfect dance. I feel as if at one point the Lord Nataraj is dancing !!! - I am just pissed off with the judges - yeah they prefer someone with belly & chest shaking - they are clueless.

she was amazing!! Mythili is a flawless dancer and is indias top bharata natyam dancer and no other indian in india that i know can sit in araimandi and perform a sequence like that, despite the fact that mythili is a second generation indian who grew up in LA. these judges are stupid and very ignorant this was a beautiful, strong and dynamic piece by mythili the best "Bho Shambho" ive ever seen in my 10 years of experience in Bharata Natyam!!!

Mythili has such grace and stamina- this item was fabulous... She covered so much wonderful aspects of Bharatanatyam in such a short time frame! So, talented! The judges are very ignorant and should KNOW about the dances they judge.
