He should not slap him, instead, he should use recitation of Sura-e-Safaat and Ayat-al-Kursi to torment the jinn and then use Chaihal Kaaf to force him leave the body. This procedure of the respectable Imam is not very powerful.

W/salam! Chaihal Kaaf is the Dhikir of, our Sheikh, Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani(RA) and was also written by Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani(RA) but it must not be recited more than once, even on the possessed!! One time is enough!! n it should be recited with the permission of a Sheikh!!

at first the sheikh is reading Quran then a conversation starts between the two. The sheikh keeps asking him how much are they(# of jinns) and the response is repeatedly 2. He is a nonbelieving jin (don't ask how or why) and the sheikh is converting him to Islam (he doesnt convert 2 of jinns though apparently the sheikh forgot that they are two lol. The jin then pronounces shahada but the sheikh insists that he must mean it. he then tells him to leave the body from the toe in his left foot.LOL
