Stop asking for a remake, it will never happen FFVII can't be remade simply what makes FFVII FFVII is the whole, the pixellised low-poly graphics and all remaking it would mean losing a part of it, plus they won't ever remake exactly like it was only with better graphics they will have to change some things (they always do) thus the end-result would be poor, i'm better with the old fashioned FFVII than a remake where what I enjoyed is gone...

Me too, but you've got to keep in mind that the expectations people have upon it is very very high. They have set the bar so high, and a lot of the original staff from the old game has either left Square or died. It's a huge torch to maintain, so actually, they probably make more money leaving it be. They are like ABBA, they want people to remember what it used to be, not what it is today.

@BulletBison I beg to differ, Design is 50% of the process. Design is already done as they'll be copying. Character modelling is another huge chunk, that's also already done, they've already got the character models.

All they need to do is rebuild the environments in 3D, remodel the enemies and add voice acting.
