Yeah, Masbirreo is correct. This video is from the The Prince's Trust All-Star Rock Concert: 1986 and the DVD is on the Barnes & Noble site with the setlist. With Paul McCartney, Elton John, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, etc. This is NOT Live Aid.
haha .. there's (nearly) alway's a little phil collins behind the drum's .. he looks like a rodent in a cage .. but i like to see ray cooper's also up on stage .. he's the real deal!
WHERE THE FUCK IS JUSTIN BIEBER (just to have mentioned him once) ;)
Thanks very much for the upload hadn't seen it for like 20 years, but the title should be changed, this is Prince's Trust from 86. Big Country and Level 42 were great in this one too!
I don't agree that the Knebworth Fair version is better. The audio is much better here, and while the band =is= kicking butsky in '90, =this= band is hardly a bunch of amateurs.
The Knebworth version with Steve Ferrone and Nathan East is much better. And Erics' solos are much more intense, when he's got his full boost strat tone blowing thru the Soldano stage rig. IMHO.
No, thats the drugs. Eric Clapton was always a shy guy, but the dope was what changed him. The only thing that let him quit the dope was the Death of Conor.
@Magnus6207 John Illsley isn´t poor at all. He just serves the song in the background, just like Knopfler, Elton John and Phil Collins do here. Listen to "Once upon a time in the west", great moody bass.
Never again, will there be a collection of characters on stage like this one!!

First time I've seen Ray Cooper play the drums, and not other percussion. Nice to see John Illsley with Knopfler. Must have been years ago.

This is Clapton before all his tragedys...
A happy and dancing Clapton.
He changed his personality alot after the loss of his son and friend...
Very sad :(

Not Live Aid in case no-ones mentioned yet. This is at the Princes Concert, Wembley Arena in 1986 - although everyone was there...
Elton, Sting, bowie, jagger, McCartney, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Knopfler, and these 2.

Mark Knopler and the poor bassplayer of Dire Straits are there. Great performance although Tina is as sexy as a chainsaw. Dancing like a 90-yearold.

I think ur being a touch harsh on Tina....seems fine to me...
TATER1971 3 years ago
never say that about TT again, and whats wrong with John illsley? Its magnificant!
beatlesqueen4ever 3 years ago
It is magnificent although JI is a very poor bassplayer and TT is moving like a space alien.
Take care.
Magnus6207 3 years ago 2
Thats true, but for me these guys are my heroes. And what do you find so sexy about chainsaws? ;) Fast reaction really!
beatlesqueen4ever 3 years ago
Listen, I like Tina too and I find chainsaws just a little bit sexier than her movements on this vid.
She has a great history, just like Eric and mr Knopler. Please check my channel.
