Perhaps people are a afraid of China in America and other places, but only because it is such a large country with a lot of power. However, most people probably believe that China's rising economy is a good thing for all of humanity.
The problems in Tibet do not come from the West. China is a huge country, and the Tibetan people must feel they are losing their unique culture. Tibet is not culturally part of China, and Beijing needs to find a solution. Perhaps a secession referendum?!
