I really want to know what the expression on peoples faces are when you just clobber something with an outta nowhere move, with an underestimated pokemon.
i didnt have this game but does this game have nature? if it does do u mind sharing ur plusle and minum's nature? and ev points? :P soz was trying to combine some ideas
Kyogre has a very high Special Defense, which means it's not as easy for Plusle to take down as Minun can. Besides, Thunderbolt is more powerful than Grass Knot, and Thunder is REALLY powerful against Kyogre.
The Grass Knot was backed by Helping Hand, and it's the other way around, the power of Grass Knot boost when the foe is heavy, not when you are heavy.
rattata? oh i understand they are some pokemon that have very good attacks.
for example a simple starly or even taillow of level 1 can kill an arceus of level 100 yeah i mean:put to a pokemon focus sash, then arceus atack leaves 1 hp you use endeavor and in the next turn quick atack and ¡¡¡YOU WIN!!!
Yeah that's right.Boy,I sure miss some of Ash's Pokemon staying with Professor Oak.I don't like to use Pokemon with endavor, quick attack holding focus sash.
why is wobbuffet a uber i think its weak as hell i had 1 on pokemon silver and it was lvl 25 and kept getting 1 hit KO'd all the time i think its so useless it shouldnt even be in the OU teir but i mat be wrong does it learn any REALLY good moves later on?
The reasons why Wobbuffet went into Ubers is because of the Shadow Tag ability, which prevents switching; and the Encore ability via Wynaut, which locks the opponent into one move.
What that means is that you can be certain what move the opponent wll do next and use Counter or Mirror Coat accordingly. Whatever damage they do to you, you do twice as much back to them.
Deoxys Speed Forme is in dispute, just like Wobbuffet. Some people are putting it back among the Ubers, and some sites have demoted it down to OU.
The problem is much like a flip side of Garchomp: Deoxys Speed Forme has a very hard time competing against any other Uber, but it totally tears up any Pokémon from the lower tiers.
Essentially, yes. Its stats are a lot like Kingdra, except with the equivalent of an automatic Swift Swim boost and four different sets of level-up moves to mix and match with. It can go first, but it can't really do too much to other Ubers.
On the other hand, it can match offensive power with Pokémon up to OU, and it can take hits about as well (the Defense and Special Defense of Deoxys Speed is higher than Attack or Normal), but it's so fast that it can outrun Pokémon even under Paralysis.
I looked it up, and Deoxys Speed has an Attack and Special Attack of base 95 each and a Defense and Special Defense of 90 each. ExtremeSpeed won't be knocking it out, unfortunately, though Sucker Punch might.
Deoxys Speed learns a whole bunch of priority attacks, however, which is definitely something to watch out for.
this is a brilliant battle from both trainers and my thoughts were right when they sent out giratina was to use grass knot and that would take it out cause it is a dead block of weight
As I used this Empoleon to get through the game, he has random EVs, an unsuitable Nature, and mostly level-up moves. If I were to put Empoleon onto a battle pass, I'll breed another Piplup.
Something tells me Groudon is more like a special attack magnet with the "Kill Me" Sign everywhere, plus, Grass knots power against groudon should reach about 120 base power.
PS: You seem to like Plusle and Minun Alot, Don't you =)
Nothing humiliates people who think they're invincible more than Plusle and Minun. They're third-generation Pikachu lookalikes with significantly lower stats than Raichu. Plus, they're both the same type, meaning people usually dont even consider putting both Plusle and Minun on a team.
The Nintendo Wi-Fi service has been pretty unstable since the beginning, but it's even more so right now because SSBB is coming out very soon, and the Americans are playing that already.
I know what you mean. Lately, I've lost the urge to play PBR, and was playing a lot of my old games like Mario Sunshine and Super Mario RPG. I've pre-ordered my copy of Brawl, so when that comes out I'll be so busy playing it, that PBR will go untouched for quite a while.
I hadn't played PBR for a while for the reasons that I'm too busy doing assignments and waiting for SSBB, and I suddenly got a surge of people asking to battle with me, not knowing I have extremely limited Friend Code space. I got tired and really annoyed of them.
And it looks as though I have 6 unread messages. I'll bet one of them is someone asking to battle.
Overhazard, did you know about the "FEAR Rattata" strategy when you played this battle, or did you just think that it would not be a factor? That Rattata was lucky (1) that Quick Attack was enough to kill Plusle and (2) that nobody aimed for it. Otherwise, it would have went down.
I was anticipating FEAR, which is why I chose not to attack it. a FEAR Rattata, in a double battle, can't make a KO if both Pokémon attack it on the same turn, and if they both go first when it wants to use Endeavor, it's wasted completely.
This was when it had full HP: In a double battle, one Pokémon can bring Rattata down to 1 HP through the Focus Sash, then the other can knock out that remaining 1 HP before it can use Endeavor.
(Also, I had chosen Lucario specifically because she can easily get rid of a FEAR Rattata through ExtremeSpeed.)
I had a feeling I wouldn't be seeing it, considering that Groudon and Giratina are in this team. Of course, I didn't expect Pikachu and Rattata to accompany them either.
I really want to know what the expression on peoples faces are when you just clobber something with an outta nowhere move, with an underestimated pokemon.

What is F.E.A.R?
sweetmillenia94 2 years ago
It stands for Focus-Band, Endeavor, (Quick) Attack, Rattata. A terrible acronym, but it's more convenient than syaing all that.

Owh..thanks!^^ Yea. I wasn't that though. Could only make E as Endeavor.

The whole debate about banning the F.E.A.R strategy is kinda useless. There are dozens of ways to counter it, so it's not really "cheap"

if you had a torterra, then grass knot would be extremely powerful (the bigger a pokemon is the harder grass knot hits)
but its strange that a small plusle hit that hard on him

OverHazard, which Legendary Pokemon are Uber?
sfields4 3 years ago
Mewtwo, Mew, Wobbuffet (under dispute), Lugia, Ho-oh, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys (Attack, Defense, and Normal), Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkrai, Manaphy, and Arceus.
That's it. If a Pokémon isn't on that list, then it isn't Uber.
Overhazard 3 years ago
I thought all of Deoxys' forms were listed as übers... Then again, I might be wrong. *checks my sources...*

Overhazard 3 years ago
Ah, I see. Deoxys' Speed Forme might be faster than anything alive, but its relatively low offense and defense doesn't make it very useful?
TehFoamy 3 years ago
Essentially, yes. Its stats are a lot like Kingdra, except with the equivalent of an automatic Swift Swim boost and four different sets of level-up moves to mix and match with. It can go first, but it can't really do too much to other Ubers.

True, but it's still susceptible to priority moves like ExtremeSpeed and Sucker Punch (the latter of which seems to be the ideal "anti-Deoxys" move).
TehFoamy 3 years ago
I looked it up, and Deoxys Speed has an Attack and Special Attack of base 95 each and a Defense and Special Defense of 90 each. ExtremeSpeed won't be knocking it out, unfortunately, though Sucker Punch might.

If I'm not mistaken, it was a Chimchar. He has a Infernape in one of his passes, but not an Empoleon or Torterra. I could be wrong though.
TemaShika24 3 years ago
I began with Piplup, actually.
Overhazard 3 years ago
