  • Take oof with keyboard is not sane =)

  • Lucky - as - hell ;)

  • Nope, IL2-1946. Get it, it's old but still amazing.

  • @cineboy99 lol old have u seen ther latest updates.

  • X-plane?

  • I will not come forward with an airplane on a boat as I am how is it done?

  • My grandfther was a navigator in a B-17 with the 91st bomb group he was on a mission over Germany and his bombee took a flak hit in the left wing and knocked out the hydraulics for the left landing gear it was the scariest landing he ever had so many things could go wrong. to top it all off they lost the wrench that could lower it manually the ball turret gunner saw it fall out of the bomb bay during the bomb run which was all so when they got hit in the wing.

  • sooo... how you gonna land?

  • thats happend to me too --i dont understand how Brits should starts from the carrier if catapulp is broken

  • Lol go Aussie! aussie Spitfire :D

  • Good luck landing.

  • omg! that was awsome! Great flying! im not worhty!

  • Thanks mate. Better flying still would have been not to rip the gear off in the first place!!

  • @cineboy99 are you an aussie coz ur using an RAAF sea/spitfire???

  • fiuuu...

  • nice takoff

  • im scared to fly now =|

  • Which aircraft carrier is that?

  • Whoa

  • Yeps, choice for landing: have dinner with Spongebob or scrape some paint on the mainland.

  • How was the landing? Did you end up in the drink?

  • Oh, I made it down OK. There was just the small issue of the raging fireball my Seafire turned into on hitting the deck! Other than that, a perfect landing!

  • small issue of the raging fireball my seafire turned into ROFFLMAO

  • @cineboy99 shoulda tried to land without landing gear. you don't have to even put down the arresting hook; friction will do the rest. Just have to come down gently, otherwise you die. The only side-effect is a bent propeller.

  • Looks like it belongs in a Jerry Lewis movie

  • Looks like you had a few too many before your flight there.

  • Sadly no, was stone cold sober!

  • Man! Been having the worst time ever taking off with a Seafire. I end up in the drink every single time! I'll try to lock the tail too. Don't have as many problems with the other craft, like Corsairs etc.

  • Seafire's pretty tricky... Gotta lock the wheel, trim the elevators to full nose-up, and give heavy starboard rudder. Play with rudder deflection to keep yourself straight, and don't let the nose drop! If all goes well you should start climbing just a hair before you reach the end of the deck. Then just ease the trim back to normal, raise gear, etc.

  • You're spot on, cause it always veers sharply to port and dives down. So, hard to starboard and heavy on elevator trim. I'll try that. Thanks!!

  • Glad to help! One thing that helped me with takeoffs... One time I loaded the game, and forgot that my joystick wasn't plugged in. Didn't realise it until I loaded a mission, and figured "what the heck" and tried to take off using trim only. Managed to trim it just right after a few tries to take off perfectly without touching anything after releasing the chocks!

  • lol that sucks thats a one way ticket now, cant land without that lol...

  • Been there, lol! Did you lock the tailwheel on takeoff? Makes it easier to stay straight... well, a good landing is one you can walk away from, so they say!

  • Glad it's not just me! Quite new to this still - didn't know there was a tail wheel lock. Will check it out - thanks!

  • nice and did you land safe

  • Thanks! I did manage to land and stay on the deck, but the Seafire caught fire. Walked away unharmed though! I knew there was gear damage but didn't know the whole left gear was missing, so I selected gear down for landing. Might have been easier doing a full wheels up landing?

  • would have bin but you need shut of engine or you'll blow up

  • sea(caught)fire XD good job man

  • Thanks! Yes, was impressive I managed to take-off ... but you should have seen the landing, sorry, fireball!!
