  • Guys, I am feeling these comments too! We used to rock to this regularly in Augusta, Ga. back in '80 and '81. I'll bet I haven't heard this cut in over 25 years. Wow!...it brings back really good memories, including memories of buddies and family who have passed on. I can just see them rockin' to this on the dance floor.....peace : )

  • Zero 6, Flicks and the Goldmine, not forgetting Zhivagos...... take me back plllllllllleeaaasssee

  • If you could do a back-flip on the dance floor in the 80's you were simply a God. I wanted to be a dancefloor God so I taught myself to do a back-flip. The moment came during this song, to do it at Rachaels in Basildon, Essex. I was surrounded by people cheering and clapping. Over I went...through the air, perfectly.....only to clip the chin of some blokes girlfriend!!! The funny bit was as she was holding her chin and he was consoling her they both yelled out..." Just keep dancing!!!" Priceless

  • I'm glad my dad showed me all these kind of songs and I know alot of em and i"m only 14 (: I love it!!

  • @YourzForevamore keep the rhythm and stay true to the funk (or your nose will grow) KEEP ON LISTENING AND MAKE THE OLD GOOD STUFF NEW AGAIN!!

  • @111midman tunes like this well worth missing the bus

  • Comment removed

  • I don't remember this in SC. We were so behind on shit. We were probably shucking corn! LOL

  • I'm so digging the comments. Seems everybody has a vivid memory connected to this tune. I hadn't heard it in years and then they played it at my cousin's 53rd birthday in Brooklyn (time do fly!) We danced and sang the lyrics from some long forgotten memory of our younger days. I swear, we enjoyed that song as much last night as we did 30 odd years ago. "When you're making love to my mind it feels good, it feels good to meeeee!" Post hippie, all funky!

  • I LIKE WHAT THIS SONG REMINDS ME ! GOOD TIMES CHAZ LI .NY.. JAMIE & BENJI.....

  • The 80's was the BOMB !

  • @CMCCONICO1 This song makes my teeth go numb (hehe).

  • its funny that i never considered this "disco" (which i hated), but listening to it now, i guess it was actually disco. luv this cut and their "Checking You Out" as well.

  • Club classic!!!

  • This song was the bomb in Southern LA, East LA, the Westside and lets not forget the Harbor Area and last but not least the San Fernanondo Valley...The guys breaking out with their hush puppies shoes, starch 501 or corduroys. The Ladies, were looking gorgeous! Peace from The SF_LA!!

  • Anybody at Fort Bragg, NC in 1980 was jammin' to this on and off post!

  • mrtonod: I remember the multi-levels and looking down on the crowds!

  • LOVE THIS TUNE!!!! Cheers mate. ;)

  • I left New York just before Disco crashed (summer '79), came back next year and hung out with some friends at a club in lower Manhattan called Tribeca and they were bangin' this. They were playing this in the South hard too. The DJ in that club had the crowd SWEATIN'!!!!!

  • @BruklynG Hey old school, I went to the Tribeca once, a multi level extravagenza, i thought I was at the colloseum. The highlight of that evening was seeing multiples of young ladies being danced/carried vertically above/through the crowd

  • This song reminds me of a hot babe from Elizabeth New Jersey I met in NY name Debbie Kopp....damn was she fine!!! Loved this tune!

  • One of my faves from that era. Came out just after the Disco crash. I prefer this full version over the instrumental version they tend to play too much.

  • If only they had a hall of fame for bass lines

  • I was 17 when this was first played in the `Place` Hanley. Tight yellow `Fu's jeans, red shirt - on the pull! .......Like it was only last week. Timeless tune

  • it sure was me getting on the floor

  • Awesome song, but this record looks dusty.

  • Turn it up!!!

  • Yea this is the cut right here.

  • I Like What You're Doing To Me by Young & Company from 1980 is one of the best disco songs I have ever heard!

  • Omg Dj Quik sampled this : dollars and sense!

  • Great tune.Thanks for posting.

  • The first time I heard this joint I was in the Navy on one of a med-cruise and we went to Barcelona, Spain and went to this club named The Camelot. When we came in that joint we just started dancing. The flow in that club was so smooth and so funky it was as if I was dreaming. No bugs on the wall, everyone stayed on the floor the whole time we were there. Spaniards know how to get that shit in on the dance floor for real. Every time I hear this song it takes me back to that day.

  • @nubonyx old times ehh? :)

  • one of my favourite 12" LP's

  • I've just brought my tuntables up from the basement after years. All my vinyl too. This is one of the first tracks that I wantaed to listen to. Unfortunately I only have a 7" version on a compilation album. The 12" always eluded me so thanks for taking the time. Such a cool track.

  • This was a big all dayer tune in 80-81 some great dancing in the nottingham pallaice.Great tune.

  • I did a LOT of blow while listening to this song. And it wasn't in the 80's.

  • I used to have the 12" single of this, but I got rid of it a few years ago, but still a great song.

  • @WCPR1620AM There is also a flipside to that, but this one is the Karaoke version.

  • This is a crime!! This is the best dance ever made!! I come home with a girl and play this and thats it!! Please somebody get this video back on. Please...............

  • Damn! Love the flashback to childhood.

  • This song is probably one of the most unknown but recognizable "Roller Boogie" tracks ever produced. From houseparties and clubs in The East Coast to roller rinks & Venice Beach weekend skatejams, this cut STILL goes hard whenever I play it and I am always in the mood to move sumethin after hearing it. Truly a dance classic. Sho' Nuff!

  • @weezlebum147 Errr......this is not an LP - it's an Import 12inch 33rpm single.

I have the album though with this track on it :)

    Bless up for the comment.

  • @lardsah LP = 'long playing " record albums. So, it is an extended singles LP. lol!

  • @lardsah All LP means is = Long Play. It's an extended track pressed on an LP record. So, never say it's not an LP, okay? :)

  • @lardsah Hey, its vinyl and it could be have been long playing.

  • @weezlebum147 Try Amazon or EBay. I've actually found a few of what I'd call the classics on these sites.

    Good Luck.

  • @weezlebum147

discogs marketplace is the place to go

  • @weezlebum147

check out Discogs.com whole bunch of vinyl.

  • dON'T GET NO BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!

  • I'd never thought I would enjoy a static shot of a record spinning, but this is one of those exceptions. Not only is it way cool to finally find the 7-minute version of this song online without an illegal download, but a great sounding one at that.

Yeah, this was my 1980 jam along with the S.O.S. Band's "Take Your Time...." Rollerskating as a geeky 12 year old to this song can't be better!!

  • I remember doing a show at Old Westbury College in NY where they stole the show from S.O.S. Band and Hamilton Bohannon....Nelson PR, DJ PLeasure, and DJ SPider set 'em up and they then tore it down.

  • Just GREAT!!!
