I have a recurring dream of a demon or some sort of evil tormenting me in my dreams for quite sometime ... only today i got an advice from a saint who asked me to chant this early morning .... only today i am listening to this ... not sure if it will help from that demon ... but i will follow this and let all of you know if the dream stopped or not.

Sorry to be negative here...but this mantra should be taught by a Guru only then it has value. It is just like Gayathri Mantra. Listening in youtube is okay but will not give fruits (palasruthi) of chanting this mantra.

It is best to recite this mantra in day light when Sun Lord is out.

But generally speaking, I can feel it's energy even in the night time.

After taking bath ,one should pray to God Sun and use this stotram.One of my known person highly placed everyday when he is leaving for office ,this CD is being played without failand he goes on uttering the powerful stotram, he never takes a call while doing this.

Thereis one more ritual associated with Surya Puja, which is that of Surya Arka..that is after taking a bath, take some water in a small clean pot. While facing the sun raise your hands and let the water flow to the ground from a level above your head. You will see the arka process (or offering water to a diety) in hindu pujas. After that read the Surya stotra. Thanks.

Shri Aditya and this mantra changed my life in such a positive way i can only and humbly say Om namah adityaya! and i highly recommend learning it and chanting it three times daily its done in 20 mins and if you add gayatri and bija mantras is just 30 min.

as told by agasthya maharshi in this stotram, it can be chanted when ever we get fear or feel sick or we are in forest (alone). so, it does not stop you to pray after sunset. But, as a daily routine, its good to pray while sun raises.
