@14energy This one has 275 hp on dyno. Not 250 like they say. What they will do , is a version with rear wheel steering like Laguna has. That will be sick.
Ive driven the new laguna with 2.0 turbo 4 wheel steering and it handles better and its more stable then my old 172 clio - and its not even a sport model. gotta love them for doing great cars!
@14energy Yea, the new laguna is great. In my country, they tested the 2.0 dci 180 hp against Bmw 320d 184 hp, and laguna was almost 2 seconds faster around a 2km track. Its very fast and very stable. It doesnt oversteer or understeer at all, and engines are great.
This is Focus RS and Golf GTI killer. Now that its built propertly and has the same premium feel in interior as golf it will be better. And as usually it will be the fastest.
No actually check some track times. Megane RS is much faster. Not to mention build quality of new megane which is light years away from Focus. I would say its better than golf6 quality, especially in interior where theres no hard plastic at all, its all soft.
YES i totally agree!! But where is the DSG? where is the 7' inch screen that has the gti?? These 2 are some of the reasons why they still prefer the GTI as a better all-around car and dont mean the 0-100.. Focus rs is still too cheap inside (plastic,no dsg too,same as st) and drinks too much benzin!!! I don't know...

Megane also has a big LCD screen if you pay for it, same as in gti. Also, Megane has bigger boot, more space inside, is more comfortable, safer, cheaper and quieter than golf. And build quality and materials are same if not better.
And you dont need a dsg in such car, ruins the experiance. I would never buy a golf gti with dsg.
ok then it's better choice for sure than the gti since it has lcd too and it's faster.. But what about the focus rs VS the megane rs? which would you prefer and why? There are many vids that can't make out my mind cause the opinions are different...
Megane RS. Its better in every way.Faster, safer, better equipped, much better built in interior, more comfortable, and Focus is too powerfull. He cant use 300hp, too much understeer. Focus is not as good as Golf or Megane.
how is megane safer than golf? golf scored 97% at euroncap and awarded as safest car of the year 2009.. how is megane more comfortable since golf has a multi-link suspension system? the thing about the build quality is just rediculus..
And finally u tell us u dont need the best and fastest massive production gearbox ever builted but u need comfort, good build quality and low engine noise levels in a sports car.. i m sure u know how to compare 2 cars :)

Check out for price and you'll see the RS (sport coupe Megan) is 5 thousand euros CHEAPER than GTI.
Today, 5G euro = 7.5 G US$. Whoooooppie..

Focus RS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Renault and Ford have nothing in common.
For 5 grands euros, it is a better deal than GTI.
