The confederacy wasn't abolishing slavery over time. They massively increased slavery in the South, fought to expand slavery to new territories, staffed industrial factories with slaves, and adopted a constitution that barred anyone from EVER abolishing slavery. By contrast, many Northern states abolished slavery at their inception, decades before any industrialization. They abolished slavery because slavery is a sin. @DragonMaster418 WRONG! It is constitutional to secede. The founding fathers wrote the constitution in a way that if the national government is overstepping the bounds, the citizens can take it back. The national government was being unconstitutional, so the south seceded, Lincoln was not a good president, anybody that says that is full of h3ll. Lincoln used slavery as an excuse to start the war. He didn't want the south to be it's own country.

That's wrong, its not true, they did not fight for slavery, they fought for states' rights. Slavery was already settled, the north wanted products from the south without working for it, the South was abiding by the constitution, not the union, I do not believe the history books, Lincoln lied by trying to make the civil war all about slavery but it was about states' rights. I got a flag frame for my birthday and inside it is an old confederate flag.
