LOL Pause the timer at 37 seconds (i.e. 36 sec on the game clock) and there is a large number of mines left: the last 46 ??? mines are left for the last second... so this guy leaves them unmarked and visually counted to save clicks... really.. what do you do in those certified cases when you need the count to calculate where a mine is - take a guess?

Looks fast but head to head he might finish less games per 10 minutes than I can with this method.

This is obviously fake!!! All you do is get a sheet of paper and tape it to your computer screen. When you fail, it shows you the locations of all of the mines so you can just mark where the mines are and replay the same puzzle. I've done this before and got 45 seconds.

Any one could do this. You only just try a game and fail it. In the screen you would see were are the *bombs*.... Now, take a photo of the screen. Press restart of the game. Now do noT press on the *bombs* that appear on the photo you took. NOW YOU ALSO CAN BE THE EXPERT OF MINESWEEPER.

@2edude333 Because the four mines next to the second "4" (South-West-Edge) are fixed. The first "5" from above fix three of the four neighbours to the second 4. And the first "3" from above is fixing one of the four neigbours. The second "4" has now all his neighbours. So the "5" is a field which is free. The "5" could been found logically. This doesn´t mean, that the whole game is played logically or regularly.

@Palmking You click on a square and it displays a number (if you are lucky) the number tells you how many mines are touching the square. So if you click a block and are presented with a 2, that means 2 blocks of the 8 blocks surrounding it are mines. usually though some of the 8 blocks will be eliminated for you due to previous clicks or "chain reaction" clicks. Once you have narrowed down which of the surrounding blocks are mines, then you can "mark" them with those little red flags
