Went to see Rachel Tucker in "Wicked" back in September 2011. It was spellbinding and Rachel put in some knock-out performances, especially Defying Gravity and No Good Deed. Don't get me wrong I love Idina Menzel but Rachel by far is the best Elphaba there is and dare I say will ever be!!!! May she continue to reign as I want to see her and the show again SOON :-))))))

@WICKED5356 thank you for that - when I first saw the show I always thought she felt 'wicked' as in 'amazing', not evil, so when i saw the comments like "she looks too happy" i was slightly confused as to which way she meant it. Also, she's finally got Fiyero there without G(a)linda taking the limelight trying to get him to love her so she should be happy!!!

This was great! I didn't get to see Lee Mead in Wicked when he was playing Fiyero, but, hopefully, I'll be able to see the show again early on next year with Rachel Tucker in it. This particular performance was superbly acted and I loved the way Lee sang 2:26-2:30. :)

hello my lovely smarties. in this context she uses the term "wicked" as feeling really good and really happy, so her looking happy is actually a very good thing, and it signifies rachel's brilliance in acting. the entire show is about how she really isn't wicked (as in evil) so why would she use the word to say she feels evil?

My personal favourite is Kerry Ellis but I love Idina the only reason that I think this song is not as good is because ot all looks a little bit forced, I don't think there's much chemistry between trhese two it's been sacraficed for the sake of two famous faces.

i think every1 has their own preferences when it comes to Elphba, personally i prefer Rachel but a lot of people don't. Its good people have strong passion and opinions but it doesn't necessarily mean that 1 is better than the other its just what u like yourself. I don't think people should put any of the actresses that have, or are currently, played Elphba down and say 1 is better than the other when they all have their own qualities and bring different things to the character.

Absolutely phenomonal! I saw Rachel Tucker do this song but not with Lee Mead, with Mark Evans in June, and it sounds so much better live! I think I prefer Rachel Tucker's version of this song and Defying Gravity to Idina Menzel's.

I think the problem I have is that Rachel's a bit too technically perfect and conventionally beautiful whereas Idina Menzel's got a totally different, much edgier voice and looks. Idina still wins it for me.
