  • Oh and have fun hiding behind your college degree while the rest of us protect your rights to earn that degree in idiocracy!

  • Wow RICHARDTOMLEY NO SIR you are brainwashed See you follow the mainstream and say we military members are all brainwashed when in reality we have more kahunas than you and are not brainwashed You see we follow a strict Warriors code that cowards like you don't understand because you dont feel the calling This country is founded on people who died for your dipshit ass and thats the comment you makeSTAND IN FRONT OF IT SO I CAN TELL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHERE TO SHOOT!!! have a nice life

  • Correct me if im wrong, but all these Marines are technically 0311's, right?

I mean once they do their 2(?) years they go to fleet as 03's...

  • 9:35 EPIC

  • Greatest fighting force the world has ever seen

  • Guy definitely wasn't a captain. He was a corporal

  • @MsJmstrong Which guy are you refering to? The guy that talked about seeing them when he was eight was a Captain. Easily recognizable as an officer by his cover and Sand brown and belt.

  • These Marines are awesome. But (I hate to be so exacting) the 'ripple,' or slight loss of uniform timing, can be heard at 3:00. Still, they're as close to perfect as it gets. Semper Fidelis.

  • what is this documentary video name? please tell me

  • 1:02 MOVE THE RIFLE AROUND YOUR HEAD, NOT YOUR HEAD AROUND THE RIFLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • After watching the us marines silent drill squad, it really inspired me, i realised i was wasting my time at high school and college, so straight away i signed up to the dole, and have done fuck all ever since, life is great thank you, i spend my munney on scratchers and segs.

  • i have a question? say ur a only child and u sign up as a marine at age 18 lets say. but its without ur parent knowing since ur the only child can the parent denie the regestration?

  • @FiercEpon

At 18 years of age, you are an adult, not a child. The choice is yours and yours alone.

  • @FiercEpon Not only can you sign up at 18, but it doesn't matter if your an only child . . .they'll sign up you pronto!

The ONLY place where you aren't considered an ADULT are bars and casinos! Then you HAVE to be 21!!

  • never mind i have it lol

  • where the hell is the picture

  • The interesting part of the Silent Drill Platoon is they ALL are from the Elite Infantry units...Beautiful...Semper Fi!

  • this is for NAVYSEALSTYLE:d

    JUST KEEP ON PRACTICING:D

i;m also a NAVY, but reservist only.. because I'm still studying. hehehe I'm 3rd Year college right now bur i want to continue

  • Wow! If there's one thing you yanks have on us it is definitely style. You know how to show off!

  • american military are simply the best in the world..no doubt..

  • he's not even a Capt! He wasnt even an officer! Officer dress blues dont have the red stitching on it.

  • @redtib2003 yeah i agree.....the producers made a mistake....he's probably a lance corporal

  • @aznkent29 all these guys are lance corporal's well most of them.

  • @Freepepsi42 yeah thats wut i thought too....they were enlisted and the video said that the enlisted was a captain.....that was an error on their part

  • @Freepepsi42 The USA doesn't have LCPL, they are PFC, Private First Class.

  • @sockless67 the USMC uses lance corporal it's the rank after PFC.

  • A captainj with only a national defense medal? Goddamn....

  • American military drills are among the most boring you'll ever see. They say it's the tighest military drill unit in existance because they know most Americans will never see any other. And most americans are too ignorant to know the difference anyway. Anyone can search on here for the Moscow Military Tattoo where dozens of Nations joined in. You'll see infinitely better drill teams. That are far more interesting to watch. The Scots stole the show though.

  • @Slippymicky what kinda pot have you been smokin, and where can i get some

  • It's hard to do what these men and woman who praform this art . I Honer those men and women who work so so hard in praforming this Art , And a message for those

that talk down about this art you'll never know the feeling or the honer they laeve with

of the joy or the fulfillment of being Marine Silent Drill Team member

    Keepup your great work

  • i have spun with the m1903 and the m1 garand the garand feels stiff while the springfield feels more controlled.I respect the marine silent drill platoon but i haz one question: are there spins supposed to look slanted cuzz when my drill team back at school spins we spin it in front of our face not slanted which got me to notice how the marine silent platoon spins

  • poor brainwashed assholes

  • @RICHARDTOMLEY10WHARF

    FUCK YOU RICHIE

  • @RICHARDTOMLEY10WHARF

    FUCK YOU RICHIE

  • @CLUMLEY12 thank you eloquantly put that ,but theyre still brainwashed ,assholes and surely poor to contemplate joining that outfit

  • I bike passed the War Memorial (i.e., the Iwo Jima Monument) all the time going to and from work in DC and sometimes see the Marine Silent Drill Platoon practicing in the early morning. When there is a ground fog there is a spectral feeling as all you see are shadows of Marines, momentary flashings of early morning sunlight glinting off of spinning bayonets. Every time I witness the spectacle I find it exceedingly moving and remember.

  • yeah thats a captain alright....

  • ohh rahh!

  • and my young marine unit will get to see this drill team at a golf tournament hosted by the marine corps league also we will get to meet gunny OORAH!!!

  • The National Defense Medal is not reserved for those who serve in a time of war. It is awarded in all branches of the service and is given upon completion of basic training. Watch the USMC basic training videos here and you will see that each young man and woman receives the medal. Its the only medal that every service member will earn.

  • @FrozenEMT The National Defense medal is awarded to thoses who served honorably during a designated time period of which a "national emergency" had been declared.

June 27, 1950 to July 27, 1954 for service during the Korean War

January 1, 1961 to August 14, 1974 for service during the Vietnam War

August 2, 1990 to November 30, 1995 for service during the Gulf War

September 11, 2001 to a date to be announced for service during the War on Terrorism

  • @thomasdow1 - January 1, 1990 for Service during the Gulf War Sir. I have 2 medals now. Plus many more... Semper Fi....

  • too bad only males can be in the platoon.

  • Semper Fi oooooooh raaaaaaaah!!!!

  • Im so glad u boys are our allies (im british). very good work

  • somehow in 7:59 there was only one marine wearing gloves, the rest weren't... how come?

  • WSHCaps00: they're a drill team so everyone has to be the same, which includes wearing the same uniform

  • What is that Red ribbon with the Yellow stripe awarded for?

  • it is the National Defense Medal. it is awarded to those who joinand serve in the military.

  • National Defense Medal/Ribbon

For joining the military in a time of war.

  • they have that guy listed as a Capt. but hes wearing an enlisted uniform

  • yeah i noticed that right away, they do that a lot with our uniforms,

  • 2:47 hahaha a SSGT with 4 medals. I'm going to claim my right as a fellow Marine and as a grunt and say POG!!!!! I say that with brotherly love... The rest of you can shove off.

  • man! he threw that rifle like it was a feather at 11:10

  • What year was that filmed?

  • very impressive !!!

  • there is an undescribeable feeling when you go through a performance perfect

  • i broke two rifles along with my nose my first day of spinning

  • @NAVYSEALSTYLE Nice, I scraped my arm pretty bad, twice. We use plastic rifles here, we broke too many wooden ones lol. We now have one set for practice and exhibition and one for Competitions.

  • @NAVYSEALSTYLE did u spin in the drill platoon?

  • @NAVYSEALSTYLE wow that must be hurt

  • @NAVYSEALSTYLE PRIVATE PYLE WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO MY BELOVED CORE? nah jk that shit looks hard.

  • It states on wikipedia that it is only for males selected from the Infantry Schools of Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejeune. You must be between 5'11" and 6'1" to ensure uniformity.

  • you can't be ugly either.......no joke, not only are there height and weight requirements, if your an ugly motha fucka, like acne and shit, scares on your face.....they will not take you

  • @stringmankzk This is true. I was Navy Honor guard and they screen you for your uniforms, your military bearing and your appearence overall.

  • what are the requirements?

  • You have to be infantry and i believe you have to be a certain height and you have to be male.

  • im not sure about the having to be infantry part. but i know you have to be 5'8" at least

  • Infantry, 5'11 - 6'1, median weight

  • are you serious!?!?!?!

    noooooooooooooooooooooooo

    im 5'7"

    :((((

  • Hight, weight, agility, etc.

  • When I was in the Corps in the late 70's.

The Marine Corps drill team is composed of Marines who graduated infantry school. The drill team are part of a Marine detachment:Marine Barracks 8th & I.Marines from 8th & I barracks have other duties like White House Camp David. Many of these Marines will return to the Fleet Marine Force

  • I'm a silent driller, those rifles will feel like paper weight after awhile of spinning. Also, your arms will be super swoll. Like for real. Your wrists will hurt, your hands will raw up, you'll hit yourself constantly, you will bleed on your rifle, you will become better with your rifle. Rifle Drill is amazing, show your dedication & don't fear the rifle, when it hits you, recover & keep spinning. OORAH!

  • OOHRAH, Devil Dog!

  • these guys are fantastic, and those guns are heavy as fuck. we're starting a drill team at my highschool using the same

m1's 14 pounders, or maybe i'm just a pussy xD probably a little of both

  • what the fuvk M1s do you have...i use M1s that are 10 pounts give or take a few ounces....and those are stock military grade m1s...

  • ohh, well i'm probably off too, i just thought my ASI said they were 14 pounds xD, but my school doesn't have a drill team *sigh*

  • i used to drill in highschool itll be heavy at first but youll get used to it quick

  • I think all silent drill platoons are amazing. i myself am either going to be a US Marine or a USAF airmen later a tech Sargent. have not decided which i want more.

  • Okay, rearasstaker or what ever, i have alot of friends in the Airforce and i think that they would be ashamed of you IF you were in the airforce, or any branch for that matter. and belive it or not you do have to have some kind of intelagence to be in the military and you seem to lack in that department. and as for all you others out there the Marines have been fighting thier own battles for 235 years now and we dont need help from any kind of wanna be nazis so piss off.

  • O' and SEMPER FI!!!

  • i have idea what u said but fuck u 4 being a nazi

  • rearwheeler huumm intresting name......take your little winged ass air force boys and stand infront of one of My Brothers..yuo'll look funny eating through a straw..22 years in My beloved Marine Corp....GET SOME

  • Are you fucking shitting me? Go to a marine and say that fucking twat. Air Force has the biggest, and only, pussies on the United States military. Fuck you.

  • But the Air Force has the hottest bitches...Semper Fi!!!!

  • I'll agree with that. them air force girls are the best.

  • wow! clean shaved hair cut? cool!....but is it really required to have haircut like that?

  • the rifle inspection isnt random at all haha they practice with the four individuals a lot, non of the other marines on sdp can really do all those things

  • Comment removed

  • not all of them.........

  • uhh...hello u fuckin dumbasses...theres more than one blakc person on the team...

  • The Marine at 01:52 is definitely NOT a Captain. Way to go whoever filmed this.

  • You could tell, his uniform has red lining. Not all black. I was waiting until someone could notice that.

  • He's definately is a Captain. It's a Marine Corp Capt not a Navy Capt. Keep that in mind. Different times of life when it comes to the Corp.

  • Umm no. I am active duty Marine Corps. The dress blue coat for Marine Officers is solid black. For enlisted it is dark blue with red trim. And....the marine at 1:52 is wearing the enlisted blue uniform. Also, I am keenly aware of the difference between a Marine captain and a Navy captain.

  • The Marine was enlisted like others have stated the officer uniform is all black and there is a small noticeable difference as well that would tell if he was an officer it would show shiny bars on his shoulder... basic Marine Corps knowledge that even boots know.

  • You are an idiot He definately is a corporal. Look and you can clearly see his chevrons at 3 :11

  • he's the Squad leader/ or captain persay of the drill team.... think out of the box a little bit

  • Like I said. I'm active duty Marine Corps. When it comes to rank or a Marines position there is no "outside the box." It's black and white, officer and enlisted.

  • @darkestwire Hmmmm...are we forgetting the rank of "Warrant Officer?" Allows the privilege of an "O" with the ability to go where non-coms go.

  • @Wagonmaster74 Warrant officers are not assigned as members of the silent drill team.

  • and that pile of shit landed right on your face, sir.

  • The USMC is everything the SS is and not, except steamy shit.

  • It's just a shame how sloppy those guys are. It's like they have no pride or discilpline. Just shameful. (JK)

These guys are a serious reminder to the world that Marines and all American servicemen and women are principled, disciplined, and professional.

Quite simply, it is the finest fighting force ever assembled in the history of human civilization.

Thanks to all military for their selfless service.

  • It's also a prime example of what can be accomplished with teamwork. I know it sounds kind of corny, but it's the truth.

  • OORAH!

  • Since I am only the son of a Marine, but myself a former paratrooper,...

    Airborne!

  • I'm a type I diabetic, but I have had the pleasure of directing an Army Major's dissertation as an assistant professor at Vanderbilt. If all goes well, in a couple of years I'll be at West Point.

    God Bless all who serve.

  • @mpmcd81 "Quite simply, it is the finest fighting force ever assembled in the history of human civilization"....Have you not herd of Army Ranger , Delta or Navy SEALs???

  • @WhoschannelThe comment was intended of our military in general. Two of my closest friends are Army Rangers who are both at the rank of LTC. One is my assistant department head at Vandy and the other is a former PhD student of mine who is teaching mathematics at West Point. Our special forces do amazing things. I'm proud of all our men and women in uniform from top to bottom.

  • @mpmcd81 Quite bold a statement..because they can spin and drill like that..you actually believe your last line to be true???..you have to be kidding..Albiet they are awesome in what they do..but to name them the finest fighting force in human history is completely ridiculous

  • @BX02 It's not about the spinning. What I do know is that without the US Marines, and all of our men (and at the time womens' auxiliaries) we would be speaking Japanese. And no other fighting force in the history of civilization could have won WWII in the Pacific. My assessment is based on historical fact, not on drill. Of course, appropriate credit must be given to the Red Army who bore the brunt of the European theater.

  • lol... that's...

Well, just for one thing; the Jap military never planned on invading America, in fact they considered the idea (of invading the NA continent) to be ridiculous and an impossible task. And they were right, because looking back; even if they had put all their efforts to it, they never ever would have been able to land an invasion.

And the only reason they even attacked (and were able to) Pearl Harbor, was because they were allowed to. And, it was far from an unprovoked event.

  • damn these marines are VERY VERY GOOD!!!! IM GONNA TRY TO MAKE MY EXHIBTION UNARMED THOUGH AS GOOD AS THEM USE THE SAME TECHNIQUES,,,,, I BET THIS WAS NOT EASY AT ALL

  • These guys are good and I'm not just saying them I mean every honorguard and drill team. Army, Navy, Air Froce, and Marines.

  • they took awasy our m1's....=( i miss them so

  • i would take a m1 over a m16 any day i bought a m1 and i love it

  • SEMPER FI

  • Hey schutzstafell, looks to me like an M1, i know those used to be the drill rifles, springfields are battle, most of the time

  • He is wearing an enlisted blouse (denoted by the red piping, officer's blouses have no piping) as well as an enlisted cover (hat).

  • wow. this is great. my dads a marine from vietnam time. he was in the silent drill team for 8th and I in Quantico Bay. i wish i could have videos of him. if you know that any of these platoons are from there please tell me. He was the flag carrier and 2nd row lead left. I have pictures of him but i really want videos

Also "Thordi" there m1's with bayonets that are razor sharp. He cut some guys ear off twice. haha in the middle of a parade.

    well anyway nice video

    semper fi

  • Its not Quantico Bay mxracer

  • Lol

    That is like Broadway

  • the marine at 1:56 is not a captain

  • How do you know? the next image with the black marine closest to the camera i dont think is him

  • i meant the one at around 1:51 because officers dont have red piping on their uniform.

  • I'm enlisting Wednesday and i cant wait to be a part of the Marine Corps.

  • It's not about being "part" of something...it's about "being" a US Marine

  • I disagree. Being a marine is being part of a team. Certainly, it is an important individual accomplishment to become a marine. But, the Marines operate as a team. They insist on teamwork and instill teamwork as part of your instinct. When a marine falls on a grenade and gives his life it is for the team.

  • 10 1/2 pounds?

Geez! They make it look like as if it only weighed 2 lbs!

I'm in the JROTC in my highschool and our rifles should be the same weight as the USMC rifles. As a Firstyear, I'm going to train hard to make myself look like that someday!

USMC Silent Drill is sooo Inspiring. Period.

  • What rifles do you use? M14s or Springfields?

  • Springfields, I believe.

I'm pretty sure, though. Is there a major weight difference between the two?

  • m1 garand

  • M14 > M1 Garand > Almost any kind of Facsimilie

    I hate springfield flipping.

  • they arew using m1s though

  • I know that, I never asked what they were using, I wanted to know what a Cadet's school JROTC used.

  • oh ok my bad

  • my school uses m1s and springfields

  • why dont you like springfield flipping?

  • Personally don't like the built of a springfield, and I've always hated Bolt-action rifles

  • M14s

  • m1 garand

  • thats great stuff

  • harrymunk2471, you should be shot dead, berried in elephant shit, and have your balls shuved down your fucking throat. considering im joining the marines and i am going to try to join this, its sad ppl like you are even around.

  • LMAO You my friend are a dumbshit. We cause next to zero friendly fire incedents. Besides our soldiers are amazing marksmen. These guys are just a drill platoon. Not meant for war just to drill

  • Every Marine is ready and trained for war.

  • Thats true.

  • yea yea yea harry, you're a completely ignorant not even try to argue w u. Do this society a favor and go fuck yourself.

  • in my opinion, the mrines have the best dress uniform

  • Navy officers have sexy uniform

  • The first 40 seconds are all Old Guard (Army)..

  • just watching this as I am in a Marching team an man i wish they could come over to NZ and be our personal choreographers for my marching teams display. All you American peeps, marching in New Zealand is soooo not the same as marching bands with batontwirling lol.

  • The Marines are not soldiers. They are warriors.

  • they are killing machines 3 more years and im gonna be part of it...

  • I am glad. The more people our Marines kill the more feared we shall be in this world. Always remember that.

"Men don't in battle for their country, they make the other poor bastard die for his."

    General Geroge S. Patton

  • Amen

  • how do you tell the ranks apart? the patches all look similar...

  • It's hard to tell at a distance, but when you get close to them, you can see stripes. Each additional stipe means they are a higher rank. One stripe is a PFC, One Stripe with crossed rifles is a LCpl, two stripes with cr's is a Corporal and so on..

  • smack my ass plz!!! 8

  • These guys truley rock! But! They are not the best in the world. A Swiss team have won every year sense 05 I belive

  • since 05 thats aboutn it

  • Really cool to see how the USMC Drill Team evolved. I being a former Navy guy.

  • nice dicpline in the arts

  • I never get tired of seeing that drill.

    Semper Fi!
