  • This video was very imformative. RTI seems to really work for students. Its focuses on the students which is where the focus should be so that students can achieve a good education.

  • This video was very helpful in understanding the Response-to Intervention process. I think it is important for all students to receive the best instruction possible to meet specific individual needs. I also enjoyed how information was shown through classroom activities. Good video

  • This video was definitely very informative and full of useful information. I like the way the explain that RTI isn't just about struggling or LD students but all students. It shows how the RTI program should be used in a school environment and helps a person see the program in action instead of reading about it.

  • I think that this video was very informative. I learned alot about the three tiers of intervention. RTI makes sure that struggling students are getting the support that is needed. Teachers and administrators work together to make sure that all students are learning and meeting the requirements for academic achievement.

  • This video is full of so much information. It does an awesome job of explaining what RTI is. I also love how it is being used for all children and not just the ones struggling. It's also wonderful that everyone is working together to make this happen. Great video!

  • I thought that this was a great video! It offered so much information. I learned a lot from this video that helped me to better understand the process of an RTI. I now know that and RTI is not just for one set of students but, is for every student in the school and it is helping to solve the problem on literacy.

  • I think this was a great video! It not only showed interventions for students who are struggling, but also showed how the other students can benefit too. I like how the staff was up beat and excited about what they were doing. I liked the comment made that student achievement was the main goal. This video highlighted the importance of RTI not only as a classroom plan but school wide as well.

  • I love the idea of being able to work with students in smaller groups and targeting specific problem areas and strenghts. I also thought Response to Intervention was about focusing on struggling students, but I see now that, ideally, it is a school-wide approach to helping all students. Rayna A, (ASU)

  • The video was very thorough explaining the process of Response to Intervention. I like Dr. Shapiro comment that the program is not about the struggling or non-struggling students, but about all the students. The teachers know their roles and were dedicated in implementing a successful intervention plan for their students.

  • Great Video and very informative!!! I have always seen RTI as focusing only on students at risk. This video is about screening for all students in all grades. The staff was positively charged and believed in what they were doing. They had high expectations for all kids. We should focus more on student achievement, regardless of the social, racial, ethnic or socio-economic group they fall in.

  • This video talks about bridging the gap and using RTI as a universial screening process for ALL students. It states that decisions are made based on data.

  • This video really explained the Tiers of Intervention. I loved the fact that all students are included in this approach to receive the best instruction possible to meet individual needs. I agree that there is a diverse learning population and all students do not learn at the same rate. Therefore, intervention does need to take place to enhance the learning of all students. Some students may learn more in a smaller group where key skills can be focused more on at an individual basis.

  • This is a detailed RTI video with different professional analyzations. Teachers w/ all kinds of titles gave impressive reviews & suggestions to bridging the gap w/ students, struggling & prepared. This video focused on remedial & corrective ways to promote learning. It dealt w/ tier evaluation, positive praises, paired reading, etc. I agree that the key phrase in RTI is response & Ed Shapiro summed the video up w/ the statement, "the ultimate goal is to help kids solve the problem of literacy".

  • I really liked how this video included regular education students and special education students in the RTI process. It is important that all students get the same help when struggling. Another thing that I liked is that all students struggling or not are included in the teir system. The whole school uses collaboration to ensure that the students are getting the help that they need. Aweseome video!

  • This video explains RTI very well and also shows it taking place in the classroom setting. It tells what all is involved in RTI and explains each step. I like the fact that RTI is for all students, not just the ones that have a harder time than others. I especially like that it has the three tiers and that students can see their progress. I agree with the video that when students see how well they are doing, they will want to continue to improve.

  • @hobbsmalarie ....This video used universal screening to diagnose what level of comprehension the students are at. The teachers paired the struggling with other challenged ones so they can compete as well as push each other to advance.

  • This video talked about using intervention for all kids, not just the ones struggling. The way to help these students was by RTI. The video stated the different tiers the children can be placed to help them academically to prevent failure. Each level tells you what to and expect at each level. The video was very helpful and help me to understand the RTI process more better.

  • @svirgin34 ...I agree that this project approach focused on the achievement of all kids. There was a vision and a mission: find where students are at, and make better instructional decisions. Teachers used guided instruction and scaffolded.

  • RTI is about helping all children learn, not just the ones that are struggling. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video because it explains the RTI process and tells you what to expect at each level.

  • I thought this was a great way to show how RTI's are an effective appoarch to helping students to achieve. I loved the way that everyone came together to help the students achieve success. Just go to show you what collaboration can do!

  • RTI is for all students. The video explain 3 Tier of Intervention. Tier 1 is used for enrichment activities. Tier 2 is used for comprehensive skills and is strategic for intervention. Tier 3 is for small groups, students that are at risk of failing, and is an intensive interpretation intervention. Schools have team members that meet to discuss how well the students is progressing and they used data to record the progress of the student. RTI helps solve students problems through literacy.

  • The video does a great job explaining what Response to Intervention (RTI) was about. It is not a program, but a flexible approach or strategy integrated in school wide instruction to maximize students' achievement and to reduce behavior problems. It also stressed the importance to ensure that no child falls through the academic cracks.

  • The video states RTI is for everyone not just for the students who are struggling. The RTI starts with universall screening that for all students. RTI are three Tiers with three levels.TheTiers states the 3 methods and strategies for students. Tier 1 for intervention are enrichment activities. Tier 2 are the strategic interventions. Tier 3 are for student who are failing. The video was informative and helped me to fully understand RTI's.

  • I also thought it was important that they described Tier 1 as for ALL students. Tier 2 consists of strategic intervention and in this stage some students may not respond as well as others. Tier 3 of the intervention process consists of more intensive, smaller groups and the students in this category are clearly failing. Overall, the video was great and it emphasized the importance of helping struggling students without labeling them as SPED students.

  • The video was very informatory over the procedures of the RTI process. I felt that it was of significant importance that they stated in the video that we should know where each student is and where they should be. Also, another important aspect to me that was stated in the video was that the younger the correction is made for the students, the better chance that students have for not having as severe of learning issues.

  • The video stated that RTI is not only about struggling students or students doing great, but all students. I believe that RTI is for every student and it needs to meet students who are diverse learners. The video mention universal screening and how it assesses students to see where they are at. Also, it explained the 3 tiers of instruction: enrichment activities, strategic intervention, and intensive invention. I feel that team meetings and data driven decisions are key to a child's learning.

  • This method is for all kids and thats good so the students won't feel singled out. The rules apply to everyone. I like the fact that they work with the students at a young age inorder to prevent problems in their upper grades. It is good that the data is reviev on a monthly bases. In order for this method to be successful every member has to be a team player.

  • This video explained the RTI and the tiers of intervention. The fact that the treated the school as a whole and then moved the students into the tiers was important. It is important for teachers to collaborate with one another on the about what they are doing with their students; this is important, because what not be working for one can work for another and what is working for one can be used with students who are not making progress.

  • This video was very informational on the purpose and plan of RTI. The important thing about RTI is that there is a guideline, but as you can see on this video, how it is applied can be flexible. It was interesting seeing all the different people and the roles they play in the RTI process, and how important collaboration is. As with many things, vision is the key. To know where the student is now, and where it is they need to be and getting them there!

  • This video was very helpful in explaining RTI and many ways to monitor for progress. This also helps to know what types of interventions to help students bring his or her grades to a successful rate!

  • This video was a great, simple introduction to RTI. It was very helpful with explaining each step with enough information for someone to learn exactly what RTI is. I loved the part where someone says that teacher conversation is about student learning due to the fact that they are working so hard with their students. Because that's exactly what teachers should be discussing.

  • Great introduction to RTI. As mentioned in the video, student learning and collaboration on the parts of teachers and parents are the keys to success. Mhopkins
