Square Enix needs to stop teasing us all day and just hurry up and make the FF7 remake and quit wasting there time on remaking things like FF4. I mean come on!! Who cares about FF4. That's completely wrong: You're missing the original "Final Fantasy VII" for the Playstation 1 and PC. It came out in 1997 and became so popular that Crisis Core and Advent Children were created as a prequel and sequel respectively many years later.
If you're used to the graphics of Crisis Core, the graphics in the original FFVII will seem ugly, but it's well worth playing.
Cloud doesnt think he is Zack nor trying to be Zack he is just similiar to Zack... at least back then when they met, but now he is such a idiot he is closed and wont open to anybody not even Tifa, he should finally find that answer and become like his true self again where is that happy, lifeful best friend of Zack... the way i see him now is soulless corpse wandering in world or at least i saw it in AC
Thank you pspgameboycutscenes for these uploads couldn't thank you more but I disagree I don't think we should have a remake for a LONG time because it was so incredible the original sure the graphics now a days are on the off side but if they remake ffVII it will always be compared to the original and will most likely fail I mean just look at Tron Legacy sure it was great but the original which had terrible effects now a days is still better.

I dunno. On the one hand, I like the idea of better graphics and voice work. On the other, y'can't beat the classics. If Square needs to take their time for an FFVII remake, they can take all the time they need, because quite frankly, some will love the new crap, and some will piss on it because they love the original too much. Still others will call us all nerds for liking Final Fantasy. So I'll reserve final judgement for the day they release a Final Fantasy VII remake.
Square Enix remaking FFVII to the standard of FFXIII, the brand new game. So I'm really excited! BUT!!! (there are always buts :l) Square Enix said they would only make it if it took a year's of work. But!!! (another but >:l) FFXIII the brand new high quality game took them 3 and a half years to make, so if they put FFVII into the quality of FFXIII, it may take them 3 and a half years to complete it, which means they may not make a new FFVII :'(

It's not a matter of "If" as it is "should" they. And yes they should. I would buy whatever system it's on and the game immediately. I'm sure a lot of others would too. They would make so much money. Don't change the story. Don't change the interesting dynamics. Just make it the same game with the new graphics and everything. I'd pre-order it today.

I know they CAN make a PS3 remake - they just want to blow it off because they're stupid and lazy. They actually had an EXCUSE until Advent Children came out, and they found DECENT VOICE ACTORS for that - there's no reason not to at this point, other than "hardcore" fans who can bitch about "nostalgia" all they want.
A proper remake could be done VERY easily - you don't have to change the dialogue or the plot, just enhance the cutscenes and progression a bit.
Vincent gets introduced half-way through the 1st disc of the original Final Fantasy 7. You learn more about him in Dirge of Cerberus, and also in one of the secret endings for Dirge of Cerberus, you see what happens to Genesis :)
when Zack died, his DMW screwed up which screwed up Cloud's mind. He gained his memories and personality and lost most of his own. He pretty much thought he was Zack

My cousin lent me this game, but as a working man and a father of 2 kids, I don't have time anymore for an RPG game (specially a FF game which I suck big time playing it, I haven't finished one yet). I started playing it and liked the story, but I knew this could've taken me years. Thanx again for taking the trouble in doing this!!! Now I can finally return the game to my cousin!!
Deffinately most powerful story in Final Fantasy, i think FF7 (as a wholE) is so good they should not only remake a game of all 3 parts to FF7 but make it into a movie, the story line is simply epic. This as a full length movie could blow minds, the game was epic, even just watching the cut scenes is awsome, a movie would be brilliant.

I would like nothing more than a remake of FF7. How I see it, it WILL happen one day, but will be a LAST resort for Square-Enix. Plus, if they wanted to remake the game they would not just have to make everything look better but remember the continuity of the previous game but improved. Example: they would have the technology to render "all" of Tifa's hair and not make it short or the dialog for that matter, but above all else... (*spoil*) how to make "her" death sadder.
This game looks so awesome with protagonists to die for! I'd buy every piece of equipment I'd need to play this game! Cloud's blue eyes are a masterpiece of CGI creation! Go get them Cloud, Soldier 1st Class finally! Thanks for secret ending!
Aerith is completely oblivious to what has happend... but she seems so sad when it rains in part 14... it makes you wonder what she does and doesn't know, becuase certain things are contradicted in FFVII...
Look at Kenyru's post, that person has it right, Cloud didn't realize he was imitating Zack, it happened because he was a bit messed up due to Mako Poisoning.
Reading up on it the original devs said they would only remake it if they could get the original crew together. And many of them went to other companies and have other projects in the work.
And imagine the pressure to remake one of the most well known games of all time. They have one shot to not only make new fans of the game but not piss off all the old ones and forever be known for ruining a childhood favorite.
Due to their choice of words at the end I would say that there is a strong possibility that they might remake FF7.
What they said is "To be continued in..." which implies future tense. If they were just referring to the old FF7 then they would have just said "continued in..." This is either a poor choice of words or a possible hint. Either way Crisis Core added quite a bit to the FF7 storyline and I'm sure that the Devs are dying to push it further.
"Added"? I'm fairly certain that, by the end of Crisis core, things turned up the way the did at the beginning of FFVII, and the only thing that Crisis Core did was follow Zack's previously unheard story. Angeal and Genesis are new, sure, but that's it. All of the Turks are present and accounted for, with no additions, and that goes for the rest of the cast. Anything in FFVII that's even slightly related to CC come from Cloud's messed up head.
Need I remind you that Cloud suffered from severe mako addiction and was pretty much in a partially comatose state for most of his time with Zack, so there's a good chance he could have forgotten certain details (which are explained in detail in Crisis Core).
I wouldn't put it past square enix though. They added Cloud and Sephiroth to Kingdom Hearts 2 just to boost excitement for Advent Children. I wouldn't be the least surprised if they shoehorn Angeal, Genesis, and/or Zack into KH3 assecret and nearly unbeatable bosses.
I would adore trying to fight Genesis or Angeal in KH3 (Zack has been announced as being in Olympus Coliseum in Birth By Sleep) .... Not that I could beat Sephiroth in either Kingdom Hearts, but it's still fun trying. XD
Funny story. On my first play through of KH2, I was in the gorge leveling and getting drops for the ultimate keyblade when I ran across Sephiroth standing on the cliff. In my fangirlish excitement, I forgot to do something very important. In the cutscene when Seph says that's an interesting weapon you have...it cuts to Sora holding Sweet Memories! (The keyblade Winnie the Pooh gives you with no attack power but increases drops)...Needless to say, that was the first time I died...out of twenty.

@Herarry Beating both of them was a challenged, but they are definantly not unbeatable. The first KH Sephiroth was way harder then the second... The second, the secret to beating him, is reflect. Just try it. Utter magic!
It didn't add anything to FF7 directly more it added to the mythology of the world...Kind of like the Hobbit does to The Lord or the Rings. It's not necessary to read the Hobbit to enjoy Lord of the Rings but it's kind of funny to see the irony of how the all powerful ring to rule them all was found on a cave floor by accident.
And yeah Cloud wanted to get attention from Tifa. When they met on the water tower, it was probably the only real time they spent together as kids. Funny enough it made quite the impression on Tifa

Cloud was never in SOLDIER he only said that he was in SOLDIER because when he was a kid he was "weak" and said he would join SOLDIER to become strong. But when he returned to Nibelheim he was ashamed that he didn't make it into SODLIER after telling everyone he would be. And when he got to Midgar, Tifa found him at the train station and Cloud continued his charde of being an ex 1st class SOLDIER...then the FF7 story starts
To add a bit of info that's missing, his memories and Zacks began to mesh together due to the experiments in the Shinra Mansion, as well as JENOVA's influence. With that, he was convinced he was in SOLDIER and 'lived' through a lot of what Zack lived through. Eventually, all was sorted out when him and Tifa fell into the lifestream and Tifa delved into his head.
True, I think The Last Order anime sums up what happened the best. Crisis Core is awesome but unless you know the source material it's kind of confusing...At the end, Cloud mourns Zacks death and then drags the buster sword away with him to Midgar all the while perfectly lucid. In the Last Order, Cloud was a catatonic space case with no idea what's going on which Made his confusion about his identity believable.
Well, Crisis Core also adds a fair deal to it. Near the end, Cloud was in the same condition as he was in Last Order. Cloud pretty much became a true mix of Zack and himself when Zack told him him to live for the both of them. I think that that had a fair deal to do with it.
Okay the main man who makes these games (forgot his name) said that currently they are in the process of making FF13 and the sequel to FF13, he says there is a high probability that they will make a ff7 remake after those two are done! So it'll probably be 2 or 3 years until the remake.
The only way I can get behind a remake of FF7 is if they do it right in other words don't mess with the story that we love so much, change the things that NEED to be changed, such as the graphics and the engrish, and tweek it here and there to let it flow nicer, but point is this game is more than likely the best game ever made and so there is no need to try and improve the things we already love, the only reason anyone wants a remake is to see FF7 in Advent Children/Crisis Core graphics.
Seeing this, I guess everyone's hopeful for a remake ... including me.
Doesn't anyone consider however that a sequel to Dirge of Cerberus is also possible? ... The secret ending showed Genesis's return and Weiss's survival.
Maybe that would take place after FF XIII, then perhaps a remake of the game which started it all, for the 20th anniversary. That would be the deadline set for ending the Compilation of FFVII.

It's not a matter of "If" as it is "should" they. And yes they should. I would buy whatever system it's on and the game immediately. I'm sure a lot of others would too. They would make so much money. Don't change the story. Don't change the interesting dynamics. Just make it the same game with the new graphics and everything. I'd pre-order it today.

I know they CAN make a PS3 remake - they just want to blow it off because they're stupid and lazy. They actually had an EXCUSE until Advent Children came out, and they found DECENT VOICE ACTORS for that - there's no reason not to at this point, other than "hardcore" fans who can bitch about "nostalgia" all they want.
A proper remake could be done VERY easily - you don't have to change the dialogue or the plot, just enhance the cutscenes and progression a bit.

Vincent gets introduced half-way through the 1st disc of the original Final Fantasy 7. You learn more about him in Dirge of Cerberus, and also in one of the secret endings for Dirge of Cerberus, you see what happens to Genesis :)

when Zack died, his DMW screwed up which screwed up Cloud's mind. He gained his memories and personality and lost most of his own. He pretty much thought he was Zack

Actually they still messed it up. If the canon between Crisis Core and FFVII still has any significance at all, Cloud would have said:
"My name is Cloud. Ex-Soldier First Class."
It probably does sound more BA to cut out "Ex' but still, it was an important part of his background from the beginning.

My cousin lent me this game, but as a working man and a father of 2 kids, I don't have time anymore for an RPG game (specially a FF game which I suck big time playing it, I haven't finished one yet). Deffinately most powerful story in Final Fantasy, i think FF7 (as a wholE) is so good they should not only remake a game of all 3 parts to FF7 but make it into a movie, the story line is simply epic. I would like nothing more than a remake of FF7. How I see it, it WILL happen one day, but will be a LAST resort for Square-Enix. Plus, if they wanted to remake the game they would not just have to make everything look better but remember the continuity of the previous game but improved. Example: they would have the technology to render "all" of Tifa's hair and not make it short or the dialog for that matter, but above all else... (*spoil*) how to make "her" death sadder.

Reading up on it the original devs said they would only remake it if they could get the original crew together. And many of them went to other companies and have other projects in the work.
And imagine the pressure to remake one of the most well known games of all time. They have one shot to not only make new fans of the game but not piss off all the old ones and forever be known for ruining a childhood favorite.

Due to their choice of words at the end I would say that there is a strong possibility that they might remake FF7.
What they said is "To be continued in..." which implies future tense. If they were just referring to the old FF7 then they would have just said "continued in..." This is either a poor choice of words or a possible hint. Either way Crisis Core added quite a bit to the FF7 storyline and I'm sure that the Devs are dying to push it further.

"Added"? I'm fairly certain that, by the end of Crisis core, things turned up the way the did at the beginning of FFVII, and the only thing that Crisis Core did was follow Zack's previously unheard story. Angeal and Genesis are new, sure, but that's it. All of the Turks are present and accounted for, with no additions, and that goes for the rest of the cast. Anything in FFVII that's even slightly related to CC come from Cloud's messed up head.

Need I remind you that Cloud suffered from severe mako addiction and was pretty much in a partially comatose state for most of his time with Zack, so there's a good chance he could have forgotten certain details (which are explained in detail in Crisis Core).

I wouldn't put it past square enix though. They added Cloud and Sephiroth to Kingdom Hearts 2 just to boost excitement for Advent Children. I wouldn't be the least surprised if they shoehorn Angeal, Genesis, and/or Zack into KH3 assecret and nearly unbeatable bosses.

I would adore trying to fight Genesis or Angeal in KH3 (Zack has been announced as being in Olympus Coliseum in Birth By Sleep) .... Not that I could beat Sephiroth in either Kingdom Hearts, but it's still fun trying. XD

Funny story. On my first play through of KH2, I was in the gorge leveling and getting drops for the ultimate keyblade when I ran across Sephiroth standing on the cliff. In my fangirlish excitement, I forgot to do something very important. In the cutscene when Seph says that's an interesting weapon you have...it cuts to Sora holding Sweet Memories! (The keyblade Winnie the Pooh gives you with no attack power but increases drops)...Needless to say, that was the first time I died...out of twenty.

It didn't add anything to FF7 directly more it added to the mythology of the world...Kind of like the Hobbit does to The Lord or the Rings. It's not necessary to read the Hobbit to enjoy Lord of the Rings but it's kind of funny to see the irony of how the all powerful ring to rule them all was found on a cave floor by accident.

Cloud was never in SOLDIER he only said that he was in SOLDIER because when he was a kid he was "weak" and said he would join SOLDIER to become strong. But when he returned to Nibelheim he was ashamed that he didn't make it into SODLIER after telling everyone he would be. And when he got to Midgar, Tifa found him at the train station and Cloud continued his charde of being an ex 1st class SOLDIER...then the FF7 story starts

To add a bit of info that's missing, his memories and Zacks began to mesh together due to the experiments in the Shinra Mansion, as well as JENOVA's influence. With that, he was convinced he was in SOLDIER and 'lived' through a lot of what Zack lived through. Eventually, all was sorted out when him and Tifa fell into the lifestream and Tifa delved into his head.
Basically, he's really fucked up in the head.

True, I think The Last Order anime sums up what happened the best. Crisis Core is awesome but unless you know the source material it's kind of confusing...At the end, Cloud mourns Zacks death and then drags the buster sword away with him to Midgar all the while perfectly lucid. In the Last Order, Cloud was a catatonic space case with no idea what's going on which Made his confusion about his identity believable.

Well, Crisis Core also adds a fair deal to it. Near the end, Cloud was in the same condition as he was in Last Order. Cloud pretty much became a true mix of Zack and himself when Zack told him him to live for the both of them. I think that that had a fair deal to do with it.

Okay the main man who makes these games (forgot his name) said that currently they are in the process of making FF13 and the sequel to FF13, he says there is a high probability that they will make a ff7 remake after those two are done! So it'll probably be 2 or 3 years until the remake.

The only way I can get behind a remake of FF7 is if they do it right in other words don't mess with the story that we love so much, change the things that NEED to be changed, such as the graphics and the engrish, and tweek it here and there to let it flow nicer, but point is this game is more than likely the best game ever made and so there is no need to try and improve the things we already love, the only reason anyone wants a remake is to see FF7 in Advent Children/Crisis Core graphics.

Doesn't anyone consider however that a sequel to Dirge of Cerberus is also possible? ... The secret ending showed Genesis's return and Weiss's survival.
Maybe that would take place after FF XIII, then perhaps a remake of the game which started it all, for the 20th anniversary. That would be the deadline set for ending the Compilation of FFVII.
