@HooverWD1100 An der Stelle gibt's jedenfalls keinen Thermostop, aber ich weiß nicht was es genau ist. Es hat jedenfalls mit dem Feinprogramm zu tun ;)
these were the best set of washer and dryer back then, 700rpm was the fastest you could get. it also shows just how much energy these consume, teh spin motor is 600w of power at 700rpm, my new samsung is 500w of power at 1400rpm. but reliablity is the compleate oppersite

Not to mention the pump. The 416 has an amazing 110 Watts of pump power. Your Samsung probably only has about 25-30W, if not less. Not energy efficient, but veeeery cool :-)
you are right my old hotpoint had a 25w pump, my new samsung i noticed drained alot faster than my hotpoint because it has a 34w pump. but that is still far less than this. oh by the way - the spin motor on the samsung is 600w not 500w, so that means that the motor is twice as efficianet as you miele, but it woan't get to 1400rpm if very unbalnced unlike your miele which will get to 700rpm no mater what
It's like comparing apples to pears, really. The Miele spin motor is designed to deliver a lot of torque at 700 RPM. The Samsung has a lof of RPMs, but only little torque because of that.

Too bad, I can't do that. I need a condenser dryer in the laundry room and a vented one in the garage! But this set will stay in the garage ;)
The W 720 and the 86478 are still in the garage. The 86748 is under the work bench and the W 720 stands in front of it.

Yes, they're from the 60's :D And they really cost a lot of money new, around 2000 pounds! thank God washers have become cheaper ;)
