I watched the video of rehearsing this before i got to this one, and its really inspiring to see someone behind the seances working so hard to create such a beautiful performance. That, and extensions and flexibility is a strong ability of hers--just like back flexibility is for Ashley Gonzales. If the dancer has it, the choreographer is going to take advantage of that and show it off as much as you can. I almost get sick of seeing Ashley do the same falling back into a bridge thing over and over, but I don't get tired of Jordan.

If I'm honest the "falling out of turns" adds to the performance and the surreal part of it. The lyrics are about her being forced down by a love she does and doesn't want.

@spasticmegan I think the criticism is fair. I mean, it isn't as though anyone is saying that she is any less beautiful because she fell out of a few turns. But beautiful or not, technique still matters. And pointing out her mistake does not mean that the person who said it thinks they could do better or that they are better. We all make mistakes. Doesn't mean we can't point out flaws in others performances, especially at a competition where, as I said, technique matters.

I disagree that "no one will ever have the perfect performance". If you watched So You Think You Can Dance Last Year, you would see that Alex Wong not only has perfect performance, never falling out of turns and such, but also has the ability to convey passion through his dancing.

Yeah just wanted to point that out.

@imFROZeN She is right. There is no such thing as a perfect performance, and any dancer who thinks that they have performed perfectly is just completely ignorant. Dance is an art and art always has room for improvement, no matter how good something might be. Just because he nailed the dance does not in any way mean he did a perfect job, and I am sure he would agree with me.

@imFROZeN there is no such thing as a perfect performance.. dancing is subjective... you can say he never fell outta turns (which a principal soloist for a ballet company should not) and I can say he didn't emote enough... or I would have liked him to be looser. Like when he did that Jazz... it was too "perfect" to the point of being all technique... it was internal and slithery enough... it's about technique and portraying the vision.... and by those counts perfect ? it's a dream.

For all the trick comments...The Spotlight Awards required that I change her solo. Absolutely NO knee drops and floor work had to be minimal. They said they loved her legs and wanted to see more of them. So, would I compete her solo like this...? No. We changed it together so that she could win $5000, which she did. So..is it worth a few legs and turns? Hell yes!
