PS3 and I 've told many people this, Is awesome. But it wont play well on a SD TV at all.
As soon as you got to a HDTV its like it becomes a who different machine. I had to hook mine up to SD once in the past and it was unreal the difference.

Xbox 360 downloads and installs demos or games at the same time. PS3 does it seperatly.
PSN has a lot of problems with some routers.. I've experienced that.
Playing GTA4 on SD TV, I couldn't even read my text messages, lol.
PS3 upscales music and video quality automaticly.
I wouldn't recommend leaving your friends alone in your appartment with that picture.. lol, next time you enter the apartment, they've smacked a whole in the wall.. hehe

if you notice hook your PS3 up to a hd tv and then a standard tv youll notice that standard tv's make your PS3's sound different, well the phat one's at least they make them work harder from what i notice. but yea you just get more for what you pay for with the ps3.
The browser would work so much better if I hooked up a keyboard to my PS3. Genrally it does what I need and it is easy to download podcasts off of it directly to my PS3.
At this point all 4 gaming platforms have good games and it's fun playing games on all of them. Regardless of which one you own your going to have fun.

It's better. But definitely not 50$ a year better. Honestly, the only thing Live has over the PSN is party chat. Steam is free, but I think it shits all over Xbox Live.
i have to disagree with you on the sd/hd flaw. i have a large sdtv with an s-video cable, and it looks stellar. now sure it has a less dept than an hd tv, but considering the fact that i got the large tv for free and it wold cost about $500+ for an hd tv of the same size, i'll stick with my free sd tv over a $500 HD tv.

In my experience and opinion, the 360's Daskboard was easier to see and to navigate on a SDTV vs. The Ps3 in which I couldnt see anything really. It seemed like the Ps3's interface was designed with HD in mind while the 360's was for both. It's just my Opinion.

It was a smart move for SONY to remove the ability to install Linux on the PS3 slim. Hackers found a crack to put open source app on the PS3. Using Linux OS. So smart move by Sony to remove install OS. Plus didn't like Linux on the PS3 it ran slow. If you guys want a OS than buy a real PC. LOL! ^_^

You should always stay away from COMPOSITE (standard yellow) cables, that's like the worst picture imaging you can get with most electronics.
Always use S-Video on SDTV's.

he's saying that extra step is annoying. my future brother in-law said the same thing when we were playing RB2 one day. he thought it was weird that i had to download load the song after it loading from the store front. since i am use to it, i don't think anything of it. but if you had an xbox i can see it being a minor pain.

I didnt mean to make it sound like it was such as HARD thing to do. Not at all. It's just extra that I dont understand why. I mean, it's not like I'm not use to it, I am a PC gamer after all. So it's no big... but on a console, I never thought I'd have to install something. Tis all.
