Chad is using just the built in sounds of logic and the laptop keyboard and it still sounds like the Neptunes. If you have the talent, you can make music with almost nothing.

Yet Chad still can play the keys, guitar, and saxes VERY well. He learned his craft and to travel lightly he can do that. I think anyone who wants to create beats/tracks still needs to learn the piano. Have some type of knowledge for music, and being able to read the charts never hurts either

I have a feeling there's a lot of keyboard commandos talking shit about programs they've never used...

I personally don't like Reason, but it's pretty widely used. The Cool Kids use Reason a lot and their shit is dope.

Logic is definitely the best for MIDI, and it's got a bunch of great synths and plug-ins and other pro features.

Pro-Tools sucks for MIDI but is best for just about everything else.

In my opinion Logic is a very legit program, don't knock it, it's worthwhile.

the two programs are both DAW's that are capabale of exporting music sessions into .wav,, which is all that matters since 99% of music is mixed on ProTools anyways.
