You have to start VERY slowly until you grasp the whole piece perfectly.
Then start to "run" with it, slowly but surely.
Since you already started to play the majority of the piece in normal speed - fixing the errors would be very hard, and playing it as a whole in the appropriate quality of performance would be nearly impossible.
