  • To all of you that think docotors know it all. My sister is a naturpath doctor and she told me that they only got 20 hours of nutrition in her total education. This also what the schools teach them. Do you really believe that the ones who train our doctors have your best interest in mind. The pharmaceuticals and chemical companies have so much power they dictate more with regards to your every day life than you can imagine. Most doctors are taught what they want them to know .. God bless.

  • What do you think of the Gerson therapy? Ever seen The Beautiful Truth, etc.?

  • I only wish that organic products were affordable for average income family like mine. That is another business scam. You have to be rich to live healthy as oppose to what was said in the Food Matters. If you disagree I would gladly listen and use some of your resources. Do not take me wring I ma also fun of healthy eating. I am vegetarian for the last 25 years. Thanks

  • Does it show animals getting killed? or any violence towards animals?

  • @Invisibl no

  • That was an awful documentary. Full of more propaganda then a presidential race. Doctors DO get taught nutrition, no doctor says vitamin supplements are bad, all vitamins have been analyzed for lethal dose and therapeutic doses, doctors KNOW that they are treating symptoms and they know that lecturing a patient on importance of nutrition is 100% useless until the patient develops an actual disease because they will NOT change their lifestyle.

  • @Uhlbelk where did u get your sources?

  • @kazyBarbarian My source is medical school and practice.

  • @Uhlbelk Plz forgive me if Im wrong but I dont think medical school and practice can accurately tell u the beliefs of every doctor. And unless you have analyzed all vitamins u cant say all of them have been tested. how did u get the percentage btw? Im assuming that if they are a patient then they have the disease, unless u just mean people. If u dont mind me asking which medical school did you go to?

  • @kazyBarbarian I was using a method called reflection to use the same language the movie used. No I can't tell you no doctor believes supplements are bad for you, I can tell you the hundreds of doctors I've worked with understands how vitamin supplements are and are not useful for people. I never said anything about brands of vitamins but yes all chemicals that are considered vitamins such as riboflavin, thiamine..ect have been tested for ranges of lethal dose, therapeutic dose and published.

  • @kazyBarbarian As for patients I mean everyone that walks into a doctors office or hospital. Yes I am exaggerating, by 100% I mean that you tell a fat person who walks in because of a broken toe, that they need to cut back on calories and exercise or they are more then likely going to develop diabetes in the next 10 years. They will not do what you tell them. Most of the time even AFTER they develop a disease they still won't follow a prescribed diet.

  • I love your channel name :) You an me.. like 2 mung beans clung together :) I definitely agree with you, you just amazed me just now.. writing this, about 2:38 into the video, and you're showing all that you brought home and .. wow. that is me too right there, the CHIA seeds! how wonderful they are when you sprout them in fresh raw juice, mmmhmm! Dulse flakes! Oh I'm in love with you already. I'm high on health too! Much love. Peace. :P I'm a Constitutional Republic Ron Paul supporter

  • Nice vid..

  • It's true. I watched it off Netflix last night then today I was searching the health stores for Goji berries to put in my kashi :)

  • These people stole Chuck Norris's daily recepies, so if you want to kick ass when your 70 years old like Chuck then you start now!!!!! :)

  • I just watched the movie and feel the exact same way as you. I've been researching this stuff for months now and after fixing my own digestion, stress, anxiety and cardiovascular problems using a nutrient based natural approach I am finding it hard to convince my parents to take ownership of their health and cultivate a health lifestyle. My mother is currently going through surgery, chemo and radiation for stage 1 breast cancer and it breaks my heart to see her addressing health issues this way.

  • ur an Angel ! thanx

  • Wow! you are so amazingly beautiful, you look healthy, your complexion is wonderful. Just looking at you proves your message.

  • i just wanted to say thank you gorgeous fran for your vid, i have been a subscriber to food matters for at least 2 years and had never watched the film! after watching your vid on it i was convinced i should watch this film, and now that i have im feeling change at a celular level! OMG!!! Im feeling this is going to set me off a much needed journey into 'action' to taking responsibilty for my own health!! i now want every person i love on this planet to see this, and you have instigated that! x

  • It's really nice to see you have so much enthusiasm, and interest in health foods, but what I can see from the video is that people are still less self dependent and more corporate dependent. Why is this wrong? Because we are living in the money driven corporatism, so this human caring company of today, could turn into only money caring co over night, without us ever knowing. But if we have real knowledge of how to make healthy foods bi our own,we stop being depend from anyone else, but nature.

  • The Secret is a bunch of crap, just sayin

  • great video

  • I had the honour of watching the film with the makers. We got a chance to talk after, great people with a great message. Lets move forward people. Check out the youtube channel liferegenerator for more info on a simple pure life

  • Food Matters IS the best of the bunch!

I found something that has Quinoa, raw spinach, Blue green algae, Astragulus, Spirulina, Chlorella, Chia, Flax, Yacon, Sacha Inchi, Maca, Camu-Camu, Rose Hips, Ashwagandha, Kamut, Pomegranate, Bilberry, Acai, Maitake, Reishi.....and about 40-50 other essential whole food ingredients. It has a great taste so I have been able to reduce my overall healthy food bill because its so comprehensive.

  • @kcwell whats the name of the product that you have found ?

  • ITS MEEKAKITTY!

  • Move to Japan. They like skinny people like you and me there ;D

  • Just watched Food Matters, everyone needs to see it. I've been on Macrobiotic diet for 27 years , it got me through bout with cancer.

  • i like to eat a good steak but for her i would stop eating meat. I rather eat...

  • Nutsonline, com is a great place to get Chia seeds i think its only 6 bucks for 1 pound!

I cant find any stores locally that sells chia seeds that cheep!

  • i just watched this today!

  • It's sad that anyone is trying to bring you down for being skinny.

You would be considered completely average and like everybody else in the world 50 years ago.

  • @zeldahater1 i think she needs to start working out (lifting weights) and she'll look "tone" and have a nice physique, eating healthy doesn't necessarily mean under eating (a calorie deficit).

  • Lets keep in mind that the organic food movement is as much about being chic and exclusive as it is about nutrition! Norman Borlaug and his ilk have saved more lives and prevented more suffering than any group of people in history.

  • What about if your not very Finachilly capable of affording Oragnic food like i cant afford it all i buy some organic food but i cant afford it all

  • @Joeyal123 doesn't necessarily have to be organic, non organic fruit and vegies are still better than none at all =) Just eat more wholemeal foods, after watching the doco i only eat wholemeal pasta, bread rice etc and combine lots of green vegies.

  • @Joeyal123 if you have a garden you could try growing your own. and raw is the way to go. we are the only animal on the planet that eats cooked food.

  • good Aussie chick !!!

  • Looks like to me you need more protein shots in the mouth! LOL

  • Great video!

  • My story is the same., I saw that movie and boom, all i wanted to do was go to the health food store and learn everything i can about organic foods. I changed my life for sure.

  • Thanks so much for the post! I love your passion! I feel the same way - I've been researching so much lately!

Babe, I know this is off topic, but please know it comes from a place of love, I'm concerned for your health. I hope you're getting enough daily calories. You look so thin. Nuts, olive oil, coconut, there's lots of healthy ways to get calories in. Blessings.

  • Make sure to read "Never be sick again" by Raymond Francis and "The Hundred Year Lie" by Randall Fitzgerald

  • no offense but your a little too skinny...make sure youre eating enough when you eat healthy.

  • You look malnourished

  • You're beautiful

  • Other good documentaries are:

    'Food Inc.'

    'Earthlings'

    'Monsanto: Patent For a Pig'

  • "The world according to Monsanto"

    "Future of Food"

  • Instead of these documentaries, visit any mediterranean country. They've been doing it right from the beginning... And they don't put labels on things, like "health nut", "foody"... it's just part of the culture and always has been. All these food trends and such look really silly from the mediterrenean perspective.

  • Actually Sailor, That can not be done. The Mediterranean diet is based on an historical study. The conclusion of the study was that people in the region were healthier when they ate a largely plant based diet, and very little fat.

  • Food Matters will change our lives... at least for the ones who are smart enought to understand the movie!!! ( by the way...Is your body weight normal? is your MBI normal?..I think you are a little too thin :P )

  • you look so sweet....... I was talking about my mango

  • ..... marry me?

  • they call us crazy health nuts "orthorexics"

atleast psychology does, they actually prescribe anti depressnts

i just forwardd this link to everyone of my email contacts ever.

    LOVED IT LOVE YOU

  • Just found your video and channel...I love your video! Great job explaining + anecdotes. :) Thanks for sharing.

  • I feel the same as you. A few months ago I didn't give a rip about healthy foods, binging on candy and the like.. Now I've turned into a sort of health nut. i love eating healthy foods, and I'm beginning to look into yoga and meditation too.

  • THANK YOU! i will look into buying it!

  • you need to get some vitamins to add some meat to thos ebones

  • amen

  • Hi,

For the vitamine c junkies i have simple and cheap vitamine c booster.

Take pine neeldes or neeldes from a spar tree. Wash them and cooke them for 15 min. and you have a thea. 1 glas of pineneedle tree has 8 times the vitamine c as a glas of fresh organge juice.

  • are these the trees that dont have leaves throughout the year, like christmas trees? do you have a picture of what you are talking about, oh by they way they are banning this soon

  • I heard high doses of Vitamin C taken intravenously with cure all kinds of cancer.

  • @germanicelt You heard very wrong.

  • today's problem it is that due to the speed at wich the ppl live their lives they dont care about healthy food they care about "fast food" eatiing fast and getting back to whatever they want or need to do

also healthy food does not necesarlly means tasty and because of this aspect that ppl want to eat something tasty rather than healthy and that is usually their downfall

i live in Romania and we have fast foods mcdonalds here and all kind of fast food places and ppl here use this "services" at >

  • high rate unfortunatelly so the first negative thing i saw it is a very high number increase in acneea as a result of high intake of toxic oils and fat wich this fast foods deliver

i live in a 1.5 mil ppl city but i have realtives in the country area and they are far more healthy than most of the ppl in the city and when i dig to see why i saw that they eat what they grow lots of vegetables no fast foods no drinks like cola fanta pepsi etc... just natural juices from fruits and vegetables >

  • so my grandfather is 69 years old yet he works on the field and take care of his animals (pigs and cows and chickens) and he is in a far better shape than a man of the same age in the city and definetly more strong (i thought he will breack my hand when i shake hands with him) and all this made me reevaluate the things i eat so now i try to eat as natural i can and stay away from fast foods and drinks of all kind wich contain sugar or conservants or "E's" and i fell way better and more healthy>

  • and i learn all that not from school not from doctors not from my parents not from the city i live or my friends but from an old man (my grandfather) wich still lives and eats like a "old school" man

so i have a different opinion now about ppl wich live in country areas than i had before thats for sure:)

  • Saw the documentary last night. Yes indeed I will spread the word too. I am so fed up to eat, what I can now without doubt name CRAP. I am so fed up of the wrong moves made by politicians, wrongfully adviced by careless drugs companies....jeez, it's good to wake up !

  • $4.95 Usd for "Food Matters"DVD or 79 Usdollars for Depression and Mental Health Value For Money Or the Same Old Garbage Repackaged to Desperate Vunerable People

  • "It's great to talk about health foods...but don't forget to EAT them."

    Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That comment is so ignorant and mean. Maybe she just has a high metabolism. Don't hate on her.

  • No, No, don't talk like that, you are hurting my feelings.

  • I saw the documentary.. It is ok... but as with all documentaries... the content is biased.. and i felt they highly discredited the medical profession in our efforts to fight diseases such as obesity and cardiovascular disease.... their take on pharmaceuticals and their overall message were spot on though

  • Every time I watch or read your blogs (I read every one) it renews my excitement over health stuff!

  • Hey I watched the trailor, absolutely LOVED it. Also wondering if there are places it can be picked up DVD wise in the U.S.?

  • How much do you eat on a daily basis? And how much do you spend on this type of food? I just want to have enough energy and be able to afford it. I'm excited to watch the documentary!

  • I LOVE YOU FRAN

  • your so beautiful and your skin glows !!!

you are amazing and insperational !

    i love your videos.

    keep it up!

    :D

  • You look so beautiful in the video! You're glowing. Thank you for the info, I'm going to watch this with my boyfriend tonight!

  • "You look so beautiful in the video! You're glowing."

    Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love you Fran, you're so inspiring. Thanks for the recommendation.

  • people still dont get the difference between small frame and being underweight, great video Fran

  • watch her new video. i get the difference between having small frame and being underweight. you clearly don't, 1JustBreathe you clearly don't. she herself said she needs to put on weight. watch it.

  • thank you so much for the suggestion

i am really interested in raw food as I am a struggling vegan. I want to take it a step further and start eating for health and healing

    you look amazing and healthy

    thanks for the movie!

  • yes she is skinny but she is healthy. its better to be skinny and healthy then fat and unhealthy so stfu. i love your videos fran. helps me alot.

  • yeah don't tell me to "stfu". your argument is weak: "its better to be skinny and healthy then fat and unhealthy". you are meant to be at a weight that coincides with your bmi (if you know what bmi is, if not research it.)

skinny does not equate to healthy. ask Fran.

  • i did not say skinny is healthy i said skinny AND healthy. if a person is skinny but do eat and live a healthy lifestyle then its better then being 100pounds overweight and eat hamburgers all day. skinny does not ecuate unhealthy either, some people are naturaly thin

  • @tallgirl23 Amen dude my doctor saved my life from Aspertame

  • @tallgirl23

While I share your assesment that the lady being skinny does not mean that she has to be sick, the rest of your statement is incorrect. You can be skinny and healthy, skinny and sick, of ideal weight and healthy or sick, and - shock horror - overweight and healthy or sick.

Weight alone is no indicator for the physical well-being of a person.

Therefore, all of us should stop assuming that we automaticly know everything about someone, just from the way he or she looks.

  • Yeah she's skinny. That's nothing to rant about. We all know she's healthy.Anyway Fran you've convinced me to go watch the documentary, I hope it's as good as you say!

  • If you have something negative to say it's better not to say it! Who forced you to watch this video in the first place?

Fran, you are great! Don't listen this people!

  • Im not being negative.

  • Uh no one forced me to watch this video and secondly, she CLEARLY needs to eat more food, look at her arms. Also, if you watch her new video she does say that she wants to put on more weight and is at a stressful point right now, which is why she hasn't had much of an appetite. SO uh yeah, fluffycandygirl, great advice, telling her to not listen to people who are concerned about her frail frame. good one. *sarcastic tone*

  • EAT SOME FOOD!!!!

  • You seem underweight to me. How tall are you?

  • She is underweight compared to the Mainstream population. We are supposed to be thin, fit and healthy... it's the way humans are supposed to be. Not chunky, fat and slow.

People need to get off the SAD diet... it is killing you.

  • I prefer chunky ladies, curves are very important to me.

  • she looks about 5'10
