"Anti-choice Stupak Amendment". In the abortion discussion, "anti-choice" means one is against the "choice to kill" the unborn baby for socio-economic reasons. "Pro-choice" means one is for the "choice to kill" the baby for those reasons. The Stupak Amendment is designed to prevent groups who are "pro-choice to kill" from imposing their abortion morality on others (i.e. force others, regardless of moral convictions, to pay for the "choice to kill" the unborn baby for socio-economic reasons.)
Since when does the elimination of taxpayer funding for a constitutional right automatically equal recision of that right?? When does this apply?
NOWHERE! Life and society doesn't work that way. Stop with these red herrings that Roe will be overturned simply by not funding it with tax dollars. Do you people even hear yourselves? You sound like a bunch of jackasses raised in public schools.
You people are insane!! This does nothing to the right to choose. All it does is deny the gov't from footing your abortion bills! That's it. How about a little critical thinking next time? I'm so tired of prochoice politicians claiming this will "hurt abortion rights." It will not!
And btw, I'm all for the right to choose. But I'm not for forcing taxpayers to fund it. If they wanna help women voluntarily with funding, so be it. It's not your money, Congress!!!!
Besides, why the hell do women WANT abortion funding from the gov't? That just means they become more dependent on the public trough for their right to choose. It'll set a dangerous precedent. It's absurd. Get real, prochoicers.
There has never been a Gov'ment run entitlement program that has been on budget let alone bankrupt and in debt trillions of dollars after it operates for a while..
So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that each and every service shoved down our throats by over-reaching Nanny State 'Feel Good Liberal Bedwetters' turns into disaster, how could any informed American trust our government to run or even set policies for America's health care system - - 17% of our economy
Nadler-there's a poster boy for healthcare. He was probably 400 pounds before he had surgery to stop him from stuffing his big fat face
