I'm curious to know how do people know things are going to be rare ahead of time? If there is some sort of tatic, I would love to know, but I'm sure things in contests and prizes and limited times and such would be rare in the future.

No way of really knowing ahead of time. One can typically assume that most Zelda items will be rare.

Well, I'm flattered that you think Sprite is official, but that is a custom that I made myself. They never released anything besides a few posters and a pin that I have now.
