  • i remember i was in my grandmother's 66th year old birthday party, but that's all i remember, because i was only 4 and i'm from Portugal

  • I was 15 on that day. Due to living in Australia I was asleep whilst the events unfolded. When I woke up I walked into the loungeroom to see my mother crying at the TV. Seeing those towers fall... my mum had been to the WTC only a few months previously...

  • In fact, I went to New York the same year but a few months earlier that year. Actually went to the top of one of the twin towers as well while doing tourist stuff in New York. If I had gone a few months later then I might not have been around to tell the tale. Kinda scary but nothing compared to the people that actually lost someone

  • I was 17 at the time and was working in a supermarket when it happened. I didnt know much about it until I got home and saw it all over the TV

  • @steveyg1001 omg... I'm soo sorry. That just makes me want to cry... Just wow... I was lucky, my uncle was in there one day before the attack but wow Stevey... So sorry... My condolences to you.

  • America should have NHS free health care to all

  • Last night I watched a documentary. It included rarely seen and heard archives that document the 102 mins between the 1st attack on the WTC to the collapse of the 2nd tower. Two men lost their lives, because they refused to leave until they made sure that everyone else was out. They saved over 70 lives. The 1st group they got out included the one man's wife. He told her he'd be right behind them. She lost him because he rescued others. Other women have their husbands due to his selflessness.

  • My condolences, and hugs, to those that have lost loved ones. May they rest in peace. <3

  • wow i cant believe people would dislike this video, they must have no soul. great video shawn, made me take a step back and think of my life.

I was at school at the time of the attack and i lost my girlfriend in one of the planes. My heart goes out to all those families that lost someone on that horrible day.

  • @steveyg1001 I'm so sorry, Stevey *hugs*

  • @steveyg1001 Sorry for your loss, Stevey.

  • @steveyg1001 This is a day of grieving not only for the people that was lost in the attack, but for everyone that lost some one close to us! This is the time where all the people unite to help each and every single one of us! This is a time to mourn the loses of that day or any other day! Each one of us has felt the pain and suffering to loose a special someone in our life! But this day remind us not to be afraid or be sad, but to leave out life in there honor cause they will always be in our <3

  • I was 15. My mom habitualy turned on the news in the mornings, and i had just crawled out of bed (6am) and ploped down on the couch. They hadn't got a camera on site when I started watching, and when they did I was horrified and felt like vomiting by the time i made it to school 2 hours later.

  • I was 5 or 6, we where on vacation, i dont remember much but my parents were guled to the tv and wouldnt let us see what it was, it was really personal to me because my birthday is the 13th.

  • I was in high school and being in Hawaii, we were just waking up when all of this happened. We were just sitting in the living room and watching the news.

  • I was 3 when it happened. I dont remember much but what my parents tell me. I was In preschool and my mom came to pick me and my sister up just so we could be together. My mom ushily never crys, she did that day. The people that caused this didn't win because it made our country stronger! Long live amecrica and rest in pease all who have passed.

  • Well spoken, you're a good person, I can see that. It is a shame that the most significant change the government has made since that day is not an effort to take care of those who were hurt by it. But instead has been a world-wide effort causing more suffering. This isn't just an opinion its a provable fact. The only thing in question is, has this made the world a better place, this response?

  • i was 6 and i remember what and where i was when i heard about it

  • HEAR HEAR

  • I was 18 year old, i remember some teacher saying that somebody attacked WTC, when i got to my house and watch the TV i was stunned... this was like some movie... like some kind of bad dream.. i never imagined this would mark Mankind history the way it did

I know is easy to hate USA (i sometimeS do) but at the end of the day, innocent people died... Nationality doesnt matter when something like that happens

  • @Payuk On behalf of my son, Thank You.

  • Thanks for sharing. I wated this and I smiled i was 2 years old when this happened

  • Thanks for sharing. Not sure how I want to respond. Having been in Manhattan that day, it was a defining moment in my life.

  • Thank you for sharing.

On that date, I was sitting in front of the television with my brother, eating ceral. I was 8. I remember the very cartoon we were watching. I mother got a call from my grandmother. My mother ran over to the TV and changed it to the news. She was crying. My brother was too young to understand, but I got the picture. We went to school, were we had a moment of silence and the teacher explained the situation to us and what it meant.

  • Thank You Shawn for sharing this with us.

I remember telling my daughter before going off to school that this was going to be a day to remember for the rest of her life. Now she hate's that her birthday is 9-11. She came home that afternoon bein mad at me. She'll be 21 this year, and I've made sure that her birthdays are great now.

    Take Care Jenn

  • Who could dislike this! This vid was great shawn, I loved it! It meant a lot to everyone who lost friends/family in 9/11, R.I.P who died during 9/11 <3

  • It was afternoon here in Sweden and I just got home from the university. I saw the planes and I was convinced it was a Hollywood movie for at least 10 minutes. Since then, I've been lost for words about the incident.

At least I'm living in a country where we have free health care.

To all, a thought of light.

  • I love this. Thank you.

  • my cousin died in the north tower on the 92nd floor this video meant alot to me

  • @dingting10 You have my deepest sympathy. Take care

  • @dingting10 im so sorry D': i wish i could help.

  • i was 5 when 9/11 happened, and i cant remember much, execpt my mom crying when she picked my up from 1st grade, i hope everyone will take a few min.s of silence out of thire day to show respect for those who lost thire lives on that day.

  • I was 2 when it happened... I can't remember a thing but of what my parents told me. Every year my mom shows me videos of the planes hitting the towers and then the towers falling to the ground. I think America was very brave after the attacks, and we still are. LONG LIVE AMERICA AND IT'S PEOPLE! <3

  • I have no idea what I was doing on the day.

  • I was only 3 at the time so I didn't have much of an idea what happened but as I got older and realized it I learned the true impact that it had

  • my dad was working in new york at the time. he caught the last long island ferry across to ct where i live. we thought we weren't going to see him again

  • I was 4 when the attack happened, i saw the TV was on in the living room, which wasn't weird, but i saw the towers smoking and my parents were standing in the living room. My dad had his arms crossed and my mom was holding the remote near her face, both seemed as if they didnt want to miss anything. I remember asking them what happened and the told me bad people had attacked the twin tower. A few minutes later the tower fell and they started crying. I understood that a lot of people had died.

  • I live in Niagara Falls, Ontario which is approximately 400 miles away from NYC. I was in grade 2 at the time so I wasn't informed of this tragic event but I now see the significance and how it changed everyone. I give my best wishes to those who have been wounded by 9/11 in any sort of way.

  • @TribulationET Wow I live right by you :D (St.Catharines)

  • Thanks for sharing your memories with me in the comments guys!

  • I was 4 when 9/11 happened. i heard it on the radio when the first tower went down and got home from wherever i was to see the second fall down live. to make the experience more horrific for me was i UNDERSTOOD what was going on. now that image of the secnod tower falling is burned into my mind forever
