Even though Internet addiction is a serious thing. You can't escape it.

And the next generation is going to be exposed to it anyway. Either you cut down the Internet for life or just do nothing. Even though I'm only 14, I mean yeah we get obsessed over facebook and video games etc. But it's already out their. Phones, tv,iPods you can't escape it. And I'm not obsessed with Internet. I know my limits.

lets see i spend my time from when i get home from school 2:18 to when i got to sleep 10:00 everyday and most my time on the weekends which is like 9:15 to 12:00 so add that up and its a solid 67 hours a week. and i get perfect grades. and while playing video games im interacting with all my friends online while the window is open so i am getting some fresh air. and normally my parents are close by so i interact with them alot too. internet addiction is not as bad as it seems

Please, don't let this addiction take over your life... It all started with a game called runescape back in 6th grade... I then wanted to learn how to cheat in the game, and, from there I learned how to hack and so forth... The knowledge I've gained, is incomparable to the social skills and development I've lost in my life... The internet is truely addicting, my addiction increased when I upgraded from dialup to DSL... big mistake. The addiction is real everyone, don't drown!

i just recently ended my addiction to the internet (although I still get the urges)I have never been interested in MMORPG's (although the next elder scrolls might be an exception if its online he he), and I'm not addicted to social networking sites (although used to be addicted to MSN messenger) nor porn...

My addiction is/was to browsing random stuff all day long. I still went to class, but hardly slept, procrastinated, and let go of my hobbies/social life.

OKay...my secret to fighting internet addiction was a mozilla firefox addon called leechblock.

it has settings which prevent you from disabling, changing, or even deleting the software (although u can if you don't choose those settings).

Its free, but even if it did cost money it would be worth it!!

They even have a whitelist option so u can ONLY see the websites you choose (ex. email)

I HIGHLY recommend leechblock. I have so much free PRODUCTIVE time now :D
