America was not founded on Judeo-Christian values. People fled the old word to escape religious persecution and the one cardinal rule of USA is seperation of church and state. Human sacrifice is the act of killing human beings as part of a religious ritual. The people who were killed under the various inquisitions were executed, under the authority of the secular state, for violations of law (i.e. hersesy)--remember there was no seperation of church and state. whether those laws were unjust or unfair is another, seperate question. However, you should know it is not the same thing as the human sacrifice.

They did not carry out human sacrifice. The issue here is not about human sacrifice but about human suffering. When the Catholic Church at the behest of St.Francis Xavier initiated the inquisition of the Hindus in the Indian region of Goa some of the methods they employed were mutilation of children in front of their parents, disembowelment, crushing of bones, and other atrocities. In the end either through sacrifices or torture the result is the same- human suffering. The Christians are in no position take a higher moral ground.

I don't like to criticize any religion as i like to be neutral...But people should realize that Hinduism or Buddhism were most ancient religions of the world and they preach non-violence, spirituality and good Karma which is sadly non-existent in modern religions like Islam and Christianity. All the modern religions preach materialistic way of life. Western world began to prosper only once the religion was side lined from the main stream way of life.

It's also preposterous how the gov. gives special treatment to untouchable hindus but not untouchable christians. Untouchable christians are still untouchable (which contradict the teachings of Christ). It seems that christianity in India has turned to "hindu" christianity.
