At 1:03 when mcgonagall looks to the shield then it was a little bit destroyed!

And when 1000 death eathers fire's there spell on the shield it looks like a minute or two that there's a crack.

would that mean that when they keep firing spells on the shield it will break.

And it was hermioline's fold that the shield was down because when she destroyes the hocruxe Voldemort was MAD!!! and then he broke the shield.

I sound a bit nerdy now... but wouldn't it be better if all persons in the school helped making Protego Maxima, Fianto Duri, etc spells? Would that strengthen the schools defenses even more, or would it just make the sphere surround the school faster? It seems a little weird that only 3 persons can make enchantments that even makes the Elder Wand crack, trying to break them. SPOILER from here. Anyway, the elder wand wasn't truly Voldemort's so maybe that''s why.

@zazalaza333 The problem with that is that problably the magic of Protego Maxima Fianto Duri Repello Inimigotum(Harry Potter Wiki) is extrememly powerful thus extrememly complecated and most likely not easily preformed on the first try, otherwise would Hermione have cast it all the time on the campsite. I thought the same thisg as you at first, though.

@bobert9089 Oh yeah maybe that is why... but I don't think Hermione would need Protego Maxima to protect the tent, because Protego Maxima (Protego Horribilis in books) covers a large area with protection against Dark magic (though it needs to be cast multiple times on Hogwarts) while Protego Totalum covers a smaller area against most spells, except the Unforgivable Curses. She also uses Salvio Hexia and Cave Inimicum, their effects are not certain.
