  • First thing I got on vinyl when I was like 11, lyrics are so fucking deep

  • And the world's got me dizzy again

You think after 22 years I'd be used to the spin<333

  • @kinegrindz

how mature you are for commenting on something that you consider not worth your time lol

  • Well done!

  • “And he shot me dead.”

  • @kinegrindz Real music forces us to feel, any emotions and all emotions.

  • @kinegrindz Right on, man.

  • @lyss0414 Whoever said punching babies in the face was bad? fucking society man. Freedom of speech read up on it. I intend on punching babies in the face for the rest of my life.

  • @RoombaBoomba What does freedom of speech have to do with anything you just said?

  • @EthanStasinos Everything man, Attica, The Government, Illuminatii, Neo-Nazis.

  • @RoombaBoomba What the fuck are you talking about man

  • @EthanStasinos you're blind man! you're blind! They're in your water, your food! They're gonna get you!

  • I'm touched

  • @lyss0414, i hope you are bored more often, so you can make more of those great videos.....

    good job, greets from germany

  • took a tune . made his own lyrics. put his own emotions and memories to it. That's called a nod at another person's talent.

  • Hey kinegrindz your a tool and a fake if you say ignorant things lie that you don't know music nor how to respect it.therefore I don't respect you

  • @kinegrinds seriously man. Why don't you go listen to your other shit you find appeasing rather than demeaning real music.

  • no way sinners sonnet is way better than this piece of emo shit

  • @kinegrindz

    go die

  • @kinegrindz wow man... please be respectful. this is beautiful to some people like myself. have courtesy.

  • @kinegrindz bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha

  • @kinegrindz this is no where close to emo

  • I can't stop listening to this song.

    It's absolutely breathtaking. -3

  • Oberst and Whitman run in common circles. Chances are the sex was consensual...

  • I just happened upon this video - this song has been my favorite for longer than I can remember, and I had never heard this whole Sinner's Sonnet controversy. That is insane. Nevertheless, even with the stolen melody/chordal structure in the Whitman song, it still pales in comparison to the lyrics and harmonies in Landlocked Blues.

  • @bware0fme 'I'm Wide Awake It's Morning' was released in 2005, and Andrew Whitman's song in 2009. You'd think if Whitman thought Oberst stole his song, he'd get his version out into the public's eye right away and file suit (Think Joe Satriani vs. Coldplay). At least that should be your rational as an unheard songwriter if an indie great plagiarized your song...I'm betting the tune is an Oberst original.

  • my favorite song of all time.. the lyrics are amazing. love it

  • cuuuuute <3

  • Your pics are amazing...I haven't listened to this in a while but now I remember why I used to always have it on.

  • Listen to Sinner's Sonnet by Andrew Whitman. Sue him Conner, sue.

  • @therealwillgant I heard Sinner's Sonnet on Pandora, and I was like.......you totally stole a Bright Eyes song dude! I suppose it could be the other way around, I wonder who came first.

  • @bware0fme i couldnt see this guy stealing music, although i do not know him as a person in real life, i have sensed a strong feeling of passion in his lyrics, i think he legitimately makes music because he loves doing it.. not because he will make money off of it.therefore there would be no motive for stealing another's lyrics.. infact it would be antithetical to the whole point of writing genuine music for him to not create the music himself.i dont think he would defraud himself like that

  • @therealwillgant I thought the same exact thing. I was like.... this sounds so familiar. Even the syllable count is the same!

  • @therealwillgant OH NO HE USED A COMMON CHORD PROGRESSION

  • @therealwillgant It's not like Andrew Whitman is very well-known either. His band is amateur: they actually mostly do covers.

  • very nice. i tried singing this song and did a collage like this but you did a really really good job. well done.

  • Agreed. One of the best songs of the decade, on all levels. Brilliant.

  • That was absolutely beautiful!

  • I was looking for a video of this song and yours was very nicely done. Thanks.

  • youve done a really great job with this song. the pictures are put in very well. very nice job friend, take care.
