  • Nice 1

  • my mum had the good fortune to come from Bantry bay, as a child i spent many a summer there and if i was ever fortunate enough to be rich that is where i would make my home, beautiful place :o)

  • Sadly This could be Number 1 if it was released at this time. What a story which is now coming around again.

  • Beautiful Song. Jimmy Crowley is so underestimated. One of our best ever song writers.

  • @aodchain He surely is. I see him every once in awhile. He comes to Jefferson

City, Missouri, usually Mairtin De Cogain, adn they'll play a small gig at Paddy Malone's Pub. He's incredibly gracious and encouraging. I am incredibly proud to have played tunes and songs with him.

  • Fabulous !

  • What are humbles ?

  • @josparkes The phrase you're looking for is "humble sea stores." Food which wouldn't spoil over the long passage. Beans, bacon and the like.

  • I haven't found this particular song on any of Paddy's collections. Would appreciate any help in locating the song on a CD.

  • A fabulous talented pair. Jimmy has written some really memorable songs and Paddy has a great voice. Hope they give us lots more lovely songs.Niall.

  • Paddy Reilly is great but Jimmy Crowley is hugely underestimated a living legend in my humble opinion. More talent than the Chieftans the Dubliners and the Wolfe Tones all put togeter!!

  • Paddy Reilly, what a singer, and a great gentleman. Have had the good fortune to spend an evening with Paddy in 2006, that night will live long in the memory! Just the two of us over a few pints which eventually became a few songs at the end of the night. A gentleman who still speaks fondly of his close friendship with Luke Kelly.

  • You have met the great Paddy Reilly !You are so lucky, what was he like. I have never heard a man with such talent, everything he sings is first class, and brilliantly done.

How is he, I am from Norfolk, but had an irish grandfather on my Dad's side.

I love all types of music, but irish music is very special to me. I think I've become quite an addict to it. Peggy Sweeney is special too.
