Just as hint of advice, you should not let the thermometer touch the bowl, hold it so the post is just in the liquid, you can get false readings. Ex: if bowl is hotter than the liquid or vice versa.

its chaos! XD man that brings me back! i used to have a macaw and i really loved hand feeding him (= even with the whole mess it was fun. but then he past away and i was heart broken... Wow! That is a HUGE syringe! --compared to like, the ones for most baby birds, or even the big maws of my little black cat and tuxedo cat...Jadya loves you so! I think it is lovely that you make these helping videos. It shows people how the baby gets excited and how to help it eat, and I am so glad you mentioned the air!

The lady I got her from usually wouldn't let them go before they were fully weaned but she had be come out to her place a few times so she could teach me how to handfeed. Once she felt comfortable and knew that I felt comfortable with it, she felt that it would be fine.

You just have to ask your breeder about it and have them give you some little lessons.

Easy on the neck. Let the bird slowly intake the food, don't force it.

I wasn't forcing it at all. The bird was VERY agressive when it came to feeding. I was actually very gentle with her but it doesn't look like it because of how much she was thrashing around.

It was a bit difficult but I could manage. Jayda has been on solid foods now for quite some time and she's doing fine.

Jayda is a typical macaw feeding. lol i have fed many babies and i will say your lucky sheddidnt pump any harder. i have a year old white bellied caique and he is into EVERYTHING. lol his name is Linus cause he sleeps under a fleece blanket
