My other question is if its ok to just have my calcium intake from foods such like milk, yogurt etc. while i take vitamin d? Does it work like that? I mean i have heard about the ppi's causing fractures in the long run.
Your really pretty and i dig your knowledge. Anyways i have heard about this problem. Im a 24 year old male and i suffer from reflux, not so much heartburn but mostly reflux. My doctor thinks its gerd but im leaning more on the LPR side. Either way he has me on Pantoprazole 20mg once daily. Im not taking any supplaments but i am kinda worried now that maybe i should be, i mean im not sure how long i'll need to be on these but anyways. I heard that taking to much vitaman d is also not good, i me
@cirruskid Thank you for the compliment. =) Too much of anything is not good, and vitamins are no exception. If you are a healthy, young male, you shouldn't need to take any calcium supplements unless you eat very little dairy products. Though PPIs do have a link to fracture risk, it's still not known how they exactly cause fractures and in increased calcium consumption can prevent this. I would say if you are consuming the equivalent of three 8 oz glasses of milk per day, you're fine
@cirruskid (Part 2, lol) Don't add on any extra supplements without talking to your doctor first. As far as how to get the right amount of Vitamin D, look for dairy products that include it. Many yogurts, milks, etc. have Vit D in them. Also, get as much sunlight as possible. Going for a 10 minute walk will provide you with all the Vit D your body should need. The only people who need Vit D supplements are those deficient in it and even that is controversial. I hope I helped! =)

Thank you for your comments. This is such a huge problem. If people could only see the long term effects of their ppi's and h2s.

@abigailgracecrawford I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Let me know if there's any other drug-related issues you'd like me to talk about in a video. =)
