Kofi Annan could never "make and enforce laws and tax Americans"? He's powerless. If you really are an intellect, you would see the real culprits in all this: Corporations. Corporations control the world. They build factories. They do it in Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan, Ecuador...wherever cheap labor can be found. With the help of Communists, they do it in China. But when the people become too skilled, when they begin earning too much money, the factory is shut down.

They move to a cheaper location. It's all about profits. And in the name of profits they pollute their land, air and water. They raise their standard of living and then pull the rug out from under their feet. They leave cities in turmoil with high unemployment, crime, alcoholism/drug abuse, gangs, etc.

They take all they can from people and in the end, because it's more PROFITABLE, they steal their smiles! Corporations also buy out politicians to control governments, while destroying the environment and paying almost no taxes in comparison to the real heroes of growth: the small businessman. Small businesses pay the majority of this country's income tax by providing 70% of all jobs. That's right, small businesses provide most of the jobs but Corporations take most of the money and power!
