But even then the strangers that saved Roran and I assume the same strangers that Eragon blessed at the start of this book or was it the last book? Either way they were built up with no attention given at the end.
Unless Chris does more Eragon books the ending was horrifically bad. I assume Angela will be at the forefront of the next books

I want his new book to be set like 800 years in the future, so its a new world, but Eragon, Saphira, Ayra, Firnin, Martaugh and Thorn would still be alive but not the main characters... I don't want them to die and we would see how things ended out.

This became my favorite book series of all time. I was really sad that Eragon had to leave Arya....I had hoped they would stay together, but it was not to be. Anyone who liked this book should spontaneously burst into flames. You may have dedicated 12 years of your life to this series.... But with the overall ending in this book... I hate myself for spending 8 years of mine reading it.

I GOT THE REAL ENDING! Eragon finds a new dangerous world with an abundance of powerful creatures everywhere and only dragon riders can even survive there!... His longing for Arya overcomes him and with the true name he makes himself able to return to Alagaesia whenever he wants. Him and Arya have kids... 2 of them(a boy and a girl) they both get a dragon! All the characters in the book that we love... they get a dragon! Nasuada gets a dragon! Marries Murtagh, kids, more dragons! Whose with me!?

@AHighPwner I wouldn't say the worst, but the ending the Inheritance was majorly rushed. Christipher Paolini wants to come back and write one or two books about the time when the riders have fallen and Brom's life. He mentioned it on a youtube video. Sadly he never said anything about making another book with Eragon for the future part of the story. :(
@NoirReptile Read slow or fast, it will come and when it does it is heartbreaking in the bad way of how rushed the story concludes. I felt sad for a week after I finished and I'm still kind of sad right now as I'm typing. He should write a fifth book.

If there was a 10 years later epilogue at the end of the book, it would've put me in a waaaaaaay better mood... However, Christopher stated that he would revisit the world of Alagaesia eventually, so not all hope is lost.

The vault of souls was just for keeping the eldunari and the eggs. It's of no use anymore. They already mentioned vronggard as an hostile and uninhabitable. That's why they chose not to raise the next riders there

I was disappointed by this book in many ways. Way too much time AGAIN wasted on Roran, who in a world full of magic and wonder is frankly a boring guy; I had to fight the urge to simply skip his chapters. Way too *little* time spent with Galbatorix; the main antagonist of this series is absent up until now, and yet merits no more than the cliche "villain's exposition with pedantic dialogue" before being killed? And then the hero DOESN'T get the girl. Sorry, CP, not satisfied with this.
It came out earlier here in the Philippines (obviously because we're a day earlier than the western world), finished it by Nov 9.
I have to say, I like the ending, bittersweet is an understatement and Paolini could have made it a tad bit more personal exchange betwwen Arya and Eragon, still...
We all knew this would end sooner or later but Paolini still left a lot of room to grow so I think we'll still be seeing Alagaesia, just maybe not Eragon, Saphira and the others
Gotta say i hate the ending, nevertheless this's still my favorite fantasy series, and despite the ending, the fourth is definitely my favorite book. You could've tied up more ends than you created though! Also, and correct me if i'm wrong, Arya is 100 years old, yet her father died 500 years ago? I'm somewhat confused.

@gunspinner101 yeah I finished the book like 20 minutes ago and I was like that is so ******* dumb he could have just ask every peoples to have the dragons live in the same place and give a few sheep to them but no he needed a place where they would not eat any livestock so I rate 90% of the book a 10 but the ending is a 3.

SPOILER ALERT!!! Eragon, I have to say your the biggest dumbass, Screw the fucking dragon eggs. Arya gave you a chance to be with her, and you blew her off and told her that you were gonna go to some random quest to train dragons. You made her cry and you made the fucking dragons that were gonna mate split. Even though its part of your fortune, being with a girl of noble birth was part of it too, and you had a chance to be the king of the elves and get to bang arya every night of your life

@gunspinner101 did you not read the book? Arya wasn't crying. That was Nasuada who was crying. Arya did not even show any emotion. Eragon knew he had to train the next riders. who else was up for the job. Giving up the race of dragons just to fuck Arya is a pretty dick move..

Remember when He like strokes her asking If she would go w/ him?? yea, it says she was streaming tears and hugging the raith thing that he made for her. Then After they hold hands and get all touchy? They gave each other there true names which is the most personal thing you could give to someone and only if your truley loved them. she didnt give it to her mom

@gnauhZ Plus, There were different solutions. Eragon could have detoxicated the island and restablished the vault of souls, and he could have given the responsiblity to someone else. He could have been elf king and had a son of his own, and his sons dragon could have been saphiras and firnens

@gunspinner101 Arya wasn't crying though. She looked at Eragon's wraith and thought that the picture was a perfect representation of her which is why she decided to tell him her true name. The vault of souls was just for keeping the eldunari and the eggs. It's of no use anymore. They already mentioned vronggard as an hostile and uninhabitable. That's why they chose not to raise the next riders there

It was obvious that she wanted to go with him but the responsibility was to great for being the elf queen that she could not. They obviouly were in love w/ each other, but since they both had different things going on, they could not be together, unless eragon gave up on the eggs, Which he should have

There were tons of solutions of him not having to leave alegasia...It needed a better ending

I was disappointed by this book in many ways. Way too much time AGAIN wasted on Roran, who in a world full of magic and wonder is frankly a boring guy; I had to fight the urge to simply skip his chapters. Way too *little* time spent with Galbatorix; the main antagonist of this series is absent up until now, and yet merits no more than the cliche "villain's exposition with pedantic dialogue" before being killed? And then the hero DOESN'T get the girl. Sorry, CP, not satisfied with this.

It came out earlier here in the Philippines (obviously because we're a day earlier than the western world), finished it by Nov 9.
I have to say, I like the ending, bittersweet is an understatement and Paolini could have made it a tad bit more personal exchange betwwen Arya and Eragon, still...
We all knew this would end sooner or later but Paolini still left a lot of room to grow so I think we'll still be seeing Alagaesia, just maybe not Eragon, Saphira and the others

Gotta say i hate the ending, nevertheless this's still my favorite fantasy series, and despite the ending, the fourth is definitely my favorite book. You could've tied up more ends than you created though! Also, and correct me if i'm wrong, Arya is 100 years old, yet her father died 500 years ago? I'm somewhat confused.

@decreaserofsuck its possible arya will be, then eragon/arya love will be allowed and everything will end well, but i doubt it. i imagine arya will become the rider, eragon and arya will kiss/fall in love, then arya will die by galbatorix/murtagh's hand, eragon goes into grief, kills galbo and murtagh, then flees alagaesia never to return

Having the first book for awhile, I didn't actually read it until 4th grade! From there, I was hooked. I read the first 3 that year, and I've been dutifully waiting for this last book. ...I want more of a trailer!!!! @.@
