I think Richard Moll is very underrated as an actor. It would be easy to play Bull as just a big dumb oaf, but he added a lot of dimensions to his character.
It was wonderful to my friend the late Harry Fraizer at the beginning of this scene with Richard Moll. Richard took a tiny joke role and made it smart, funny and heart-warming for this entire series.
I LOVE this show! Bull is so adorable. My favourite scene in this episode is the one where he's brought into Harry's chambers after he's struck by the lightning. Everyone rushes in and finds him on the sofa, and his whole body is literally smoking. He looks up and asks, "mind if I smoke?" I swear, man...that's gotta be one of the best lines in sitcom history.
Things have a way of working out sometimes, especially to those who keep an open mind about God and just believe. I've personally seen many times when things happen that just seem too perfectly timed to be coincidence. Such as my father coming to possess what he calls "God's gas can" which he found along the road just a short walk from where he ran out of gas and didn't have anything with him to put gas in. There have also been many other things happen but I can't go into detail about them here.
One sign of a maturing Christian is seeing God's involvement in our daily affairs, instead of attributing everything to good or bad luck. We have given "coincidence" a bad rep by our usage. It simply means more than one thing happening simultaneously, e.g., there was a current reason for the can being placed where it was, while a future reason was your father's need. His story illustrates Romans 8:28-29. Some of my own experiences bring tears to my eyes, thinking of God's love for me. Thanks!
@SidsCardShop - Amen, Sid! I stopped believing in "luck" and "coincidences" when I became a Christian after many years as an atheist. God gave me evidence that no such things existed. My wife and I lost our first child to miscarriage on July 25 1999. A few months later, we attended a Christian concert where Mission of Mercy was present and we felt the calling to sponsor a child. We were given a child's information packet at random. Imagine our astonishment when we saw his birthday was July 25th.
My fav line of all time in this ep was when the doc said "It must have been something like french kissing a light socket." And than Bull shakes his head and goes "No...that feels different." LMAO
"Thanks, I feel much better now"
"How do you feel?"
"Medium rare"
Hahahahaha!

This is when sitcoms were truly great. Nice storylines, good writing, and talented character actors.
I can watch clips of Night Court, Cheers, etc. over almost all thereality show crap that is on TV today

@JMcH Thanks for the wonderful testimony. Man's "at random" is God's specification.
