The ball was layed directly up roughly 1.5 feet higher than the 10ft rim = 11ft 6in - 12ft at the time of the block. Nelson is 6'0 feet tall give or take. The ball meets its Weight vs Gravity Peak at which point it has to slow its speed and reverse its travel back to earth. This is NOT instant. In the time it takes the ball to float back to earth, Lebron block's it out of bounds.
