Just some food for thougt...the bmw can come up with a 4 liter v8 with a 420 hp output(panty droppers) while a firebird has an exaggerated 5.7 liter v8 with only a 305 hp output. I guess you gotta go bigger to make up for smaller things.

it revs high which is why it has that much horsepower. how much torque does it make? and where was your bmw in 73 when firebirds had the 455 h.o.'s and ran 13 second quarter miles with only 310 horsepower? horsepower is for bragging, torque is what wins races dumbass.
