I kept watching the passenger, took me a bit to realize there was a dog in the shot

The dog is not getting into the music, it is reacting to scratching it's backside up against something on the door panel. My Boston does the same exact thing only with the edge of the coffee table. Whenever you see the tongue come out like that in a repetitious manner, it is a reaction of pleasure to the scratching above the tail area.
