hey guys, if your a musician and care about finding the perfect guitar and want some tips on turning any guitar into a great guitar then please check out my new blog(link below)
not sure i like this one. It looks more like a demo of skills than a musical composition. Might work for pianists, but it doesnt really sound too good on guitar.
@33Meltora True! Broderick may be more technical but Friedman has the feeling and the skill, when Broderick writes anything as good as any of the leads on Rust in Peace, then come talk to me
@Blackened1994 He may be robotic on stage and have no cool bends but he does have way better tapping skills (probably the best ever) and he can shred and sweep way better than Marty ever could. Both guitarists are very knowledgeable. I think I would go with Chris even though I love Marty but Marty went pop and dresses like a complete homo with heels and gay pants and shirts. Chris is straight up metal shredding, tapping, sweeping machine with super classical influences. I think again Chris wins
@blackblurable Chris is definitely more skilled I agree, but his solos are nowhere as soulful as Marty's, Marty's not a bad player at all, He just has better leads and solos and way more feeling and passion in his songs
@tenhundredkills well, because he uses the same scales i guess. but check this out mate. what chris plays at 1:35 sound similar to the second part of the epitaph solo which starts on 3:10 (look up the songs on youtube) and what chris plays on 1:24 sounds a bit similar to what is played on 4:00 in symbiotic in theory...i..guess :/
@rawen127 You know what that shit means bro? That Christian Muenzner the former lead guitarist from Necrophagist's album Epitaph is the fucking shit. Check him out because honestly I have not heard a better solo album with other awesome band members as well. Same drummer from Epitaph with Christian too is in there. The solo album is Timewarp and you can find it here on the tube. Start with the songs Confusion, Dawn of the Shred, Wastelands, Soulmates, Rocket Shop and Over the Mountains (sickest)
@cortx2lh I wish metal was contemporary classical music.... however contemporary classical music is weird and atonal most of the time, lol Look up The Red Violin Concerto to see what I mean.
Chris really needs to release His own series of Instructional DVDs, especially one focused specifically on 8-finger tapping (I don't think there is such a DVD on the market to My knowledge, but please, correct Me if I am wrong).
this made my day
