Because this movie used a lot of improvising, they had a lot of scenes' in which yes, they were funny, but to fit all of them into a 90-120 minute movie would be impossible. This led them (Reilly, Ferrel) to pick their best scenes to use in the movie, and possibly use other unused scenes like this one to be part of the advertising.

And I don't see why they didn't use this scene in the movie though... it's hilarious!!!

Haha, it's great how they can just roll the cameras and let them go. It seems like they love this Chewbacca theme. I wish they had both pulled out Stretch Armstrongs at the same time or something, but massive pez dispensors and a mesmerizing wolf family picture frame also suffice
