The ironic thing is that I've had such bad luck with Val'anyr frags, that over a year later since Uld came out I'm still only at 25. Of course it slowed down once ToC came out and it was hard forming groups. But the drop rate on Shadowfrost Shards is so high if you do HM's I averaged about 9 per week. Finished Shadowmourne in about 5-6 weeks np :P

its the best axe ever so far and its kind of hard to to get if u dont have a good pve guild for 10 25 man icc, but it should be able for any race to have it because what the fuck does a druid get....nothing that right nothing at all. LOL none of you know what your talking about with this weapon. You will see all of the top guilds on the server have this weapon fast. on atleaste 2 or 3 people. Im the gm of my guild i have shaddows edge, ive done the feasts of soul quest and all shards are going to me i have two others in line with shadows edge already. then you have to embue the weapon from putricide , queen, and sindrigosa. With guild focus this is highly atainable legendary weapon. So i sugest GUILD UP!

25 Primordial Saronite, worth rougly 50 Thousand Gold. Along with epic drops from Festergut and Rotface. THEN you have to clear Icecrown on every difficulty and win every Shadowfrost shard that appears. DO that for a few months non-stop and you have Shadowmourne.

According to t10 palas looks on set,id have to remind that Palas are warriors of God using magic along with strength melee status on fighting,so having a robe isnt that stupid.Also the colour is gold-flame like dont see smthing wrong about it.I got a paladin and i find this set close to Lore inscriptions about a Paladin's way of life as lawful good.Conserning Shadowmourne,in addition with latest news on erasing of tanking gear as we know it in Cataclysm,tanks can smile too^^

Well its a very long quest line and the first quest gives you shadow's edge, then u kill 1000 enemies absorbing 1000 souls, then u kill 1 main boss, then another, and then another then u have to get 50 shadowfrost shards then u turn in shadow's edge and the shards and get shadowmourne, then u kill the lich king

Shadowmourne has 223+ Strength on it plus 3 Red sockets and a 8+ Strength Socket bonus. So you can add 3 Bold Cardinal Ruby's and you will get 68+ Strength plus the 223+ Strength on the weapon. So that's 291 total of strength alone on the weapon. Plus! Shadowmourne has a proc that stacks 40 strength by 10 stacks called Soul Fragments. So thats 400 Strength in 10 stacks plus 291 which equal's 691 Strength! So good luck out dpsing Warriors, DKs and Pallies...

This weapon is ridiculous, I am not happy about the top dmg and the str bonus it brings because the war,pala or dk that will have this in arena will faceroll us even harder than ever :( Blizzard shouldn't allow people to wear pve gear in arena fights.
