it amuses me how one a person gets a certain they always say X-mas is over commercialized. It's holiday about buying stuff. it's a capitalist wet dream come true.
We need to find the true meaning of Christmas, instead of making it all about buying material things. People are always forgetting that things do not permanently fulfill us, or change us for the better.
Search "Truth Contest" in google, and click on the first result. On the homepage, click on The Present to open it. This is a present to humanity this Christmas, a present of knowledge as to how to change ourselves and our world.
Wonderful celebration of childhood whimsy, innocence and marvel and referred to as "the good old days" with good reason. Thanks for sharing this nostalgic cartoon.
this video , is a clasic, reminds us of our childhood ... and it has god only 747580 viewes...but that fucking garfield cat has over one million...it sucks donkie dick
I used to play this every year for my son in the '80's! I still think it's great, even though he's out grown it! They should have put this on the "Mickey's Christmas Carol DVD! Makes ya wonder, who decides these things at these big companies! Anywaay...Merry Christmas to all!!! Lol!!!
excellent!!!thank you!!!!!guys now i remembered a cartoon with a baby who had a dream an he was in the sky in a shoe with three other babies!!i don't know if u remember that and i want very very much to find it!!!!!!
@ilektra88 oh my god yes!!! I remember it!! My mom must have it somewhere around the house!! god these cartoons are beautiful!! I'll look it up and i'll let you know!
I have been thinking of this cartoon for the past 6 years at least and thought about googling it tonight. I finally found it just in time for christmas. I haven't seen this since I was a little child, one of the few memories that I have been able to keep fresh since before elementary! TY!!!!!!
I remember that on the last day of school before Christmas break of my senior year (Christmas of 2007), the secretaries in the office got on the intercom at the end of the day before the last bell rang and they recited "The Night Before Christmas" from memory for the whole school to hear. And since there were two of them, they took turns saying the verses. That’s one Christmas memory I'll, never forget.
There's a scene cut from this of the little blond boy opening his present and finding the little black terrier dog. I wonder where you got his clip, and why that scene was cut from it.
@Shadowwand It was cut out in some editions because of a black face gag. When the youngest boy went to the fire place to look after Santa, some soot fell on his face making him look like the stereotype blackface and it was not until when the boy opened the present and the dog licked his face clean that the "blackface"/soot came off.
Happy Holidays ! Felices Fiestas ! My best wishes for all my friends out there ! Todo lo mejor para todos mis amigos en estas fiestas ! Hugs, Abrazos, Olga Maria
when i was a kid,the week before Christmas, all kids were invited to watch these old cartoons , there was no cable tv in those days. and we all enjoyed it...........
@mrparty2000 Yes those were the good days. Unforutately the holidays have been overcommericalized8P. And Hannah Montana, Kick buttwhats his name, etc don't really help:P
Thats silly. Especially when they left the scene in with Santa coming out the chimney with dirt all over his face. How bout the scene when santa left the reindeer hanging off the side of the house? That was mean of him.
Same with a lot of things. Its amazing how selective they can be some time in stuff like that. I'm an Ole Miss student, I should know. I don't get it.
Oooooh my goodness! I had this on VHS when I was little....I actually still have this and may watch it with my brother this year...I LOVED it but they never translated the songs and stuff in Germany so I didn't get it back then.
I'm not certain they've released these shorts on dvd but if listed among Silly Symphonies they may have. Far from dated, these are WONDERFUL. And I remember the 'projector days' too. lol
am trying to find the dvd too. Anyone know where I can get it. The first part of this is Santa's Workshop and it is on Disney Animation Collection 7: Mickey's Christmas Carol. Brings back great memories--though I watched on projector. Am I aging myself?
It can be found on the Walt Disney Treasures (the metal tins) More Silly Symphonies vol.2 (a frequently censored scene with an Amos and Andy doll is reinstated)
They censored that, yet they allowed the little boy's bare butt to be seen when he climbs out of the bed and down the stairs. Usually, nudity is censored (thank God it's not for a change). This comment is not technically a reply to bigg3469, but it's something for him/her and everyone to consider.
Censored version. There was the part where the little boy look up the chimney & got soot all over his face causing him to look in a "Blackface" style. A while late the same little boy in a soot covered face ran toward the Christmas tree opened up a box that contained a Scottie pup that lick the soot off his face. Sadly the scene is now cut due to politically correctiness & if Disney stills has the original uncut UNCENSORED master copy they should bring it back for historical purpose.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TY so much for posting this video!! i had such a flashback from when i was small all these classic disney cartoons ARE the best! they don't show them no more but i always wondered about them i hate the cartoons they show today nothing like the CLASSICS!!
they are played in Norway and Sweden on christmas morning (24th) they show alot of old Walt Disney classics, its a tradition on Swedish and Norwegian television, the ones played the most is this one and Santas Workshop
