  • Morons

  • It'd be funnier if he had the loaded glove and slapped him while he was singing the first song.

  • linda looks like lucy lawless :) jimmy valiant always shakes when he gets his ass kicked. I always thought he was trying to tell himself to not run away like he did when he was a heel. So he's struggling with his emotions.

  • Adrian Street was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Everyone used his material especially that ripoff clown adrian adonis.

  • @jetdawgs101 Actually, "Adorable" Adrain Adonis was based upon Gorgeous George, not Adrian Street. Rico Constantino learned his gimmick from Street.

  • there's the classic Valiant "tremors".....

  • @T74G Looks like a dog having a nightmare. LOL!

  • @BigOrangeTitan

    LOL!!!!!

  • Do what Jimmy Valiant does, guys, and you will get laid every time. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. : 3

  • the funny thing is most of the audience probably really thinks that's how you win a woman.

  • i loved the old Continental fued with Street and Wendell Coooley...then also when Street turned face and teamed with the Bullet against the Studd Stable

  • Adian Street, is this who later became Adrian Adonis then Gold dust?

  • No Adrian Adonis is dead and Gold dust is Dustin Runnels the son of the american dream Dusty Rhodes and the brother of cody

  • @pattersongrove Yea, thats right! Thanks now I remember. He doesnt wrestle anymore though huh.

  • @scumgod13 Adrian Street, "Adorable" Adrian Adonis and Goldust are three different people. Adonis died years ago, and his gimmick was based on Gorgeous George. Goldust is Dustin Rhodes, son of "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Street came before the other two.

  • @TheManiacOnWheelsUSA Ironic you mention Dusty because this was his angle and he reused it 2 times when he was helping Michael Hayes book ECW and Smackdown except it was with Mike Knox/Kelly/Balls Mahoney and Chuck Palumbo/Michelle McCool/Jamie Noble.

  • @scumgod13 No, but he influenced both of them. Particularly Goldust.

  • Anybody have any videos of Adrian Street where he wrestles jobbers and then paints their faces in makeup.

  • He sold everything horrible. Couldnt stand Jimmy. Completly unbelivable.

  • @CaseyDrummer Good thing the internet wasn't around in the 80s. We would have had a bunch of high spotting midgets.

  • @CaseyDrummer I couldn't agree more. He was techniqually one of the worst wrestlers I can remember.

  • i almost cried when i saw this the firt time. I really thought Jimmy was hurt bad.

    Jimmy sold everything so well.

  • Did Miss Linda wrestle in the UK as Blackfoot Sioux?

    Does anyone know, please?

  • Yeah, I believe that was her original gimmick.

  • Its amazing how much of a impact Adrian Street had on wrestling and his character was so unique that WWE used its influence two times for Dustin Rhodes and Rico. You wouldn't think looking at him, that he is one of the toughest people you didn't wanna mess with according to Mick Foley.

  • @RSXemperor and don't forget the influence on "Adorable" Adrian Adonis

  • Jimmy Valiant reminds me of a mix between Austin and Hogan with a little Dusty Rhodes and EVAD thrown into it

  • Boogie's leg quivering is hilarious.

  • i think it was around the spring of 1984 just before wahoo turned heel two months later

  • miss linda doesn't look like the divas of today, but i'd totally do her

  • Me too..what the hell..why not.

  • @mkeysou812 Miss Linda was close to 40 then believe it or not

  • It's good to see both Adrian & Linda are still involved with the biz. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember hearing they've got a biz going making custom tights and trunks for pro wrestling. If so, I wonder if they can do classic Roller Derby tights with the knee and butt pads (which were covered up by the shorts) sewn in?

  • Mick Foley said Adrian still trains guys at his gym and he finally popped the question to Miss Linda after 30 plus years lol.

  • Bizzare Bazzar I think is his website, he trained a buddy of mine and said Adrian can make just about anything

  • Adrian's light blue tuxedo looks like he stole it from Lawrence Welk. However, Valiant was hilarious in this clip.

  • Oh,

    a'courtin' we must go,

    A'COURtin' we must go,

    hi ho Daddario,

    a'courtin' we must go...!

  • I man I would have made a play for Miss Linda, I had such a crush on her when I was kid, I even hugged her after a match once, Adrian winked at me. I reminded them of this at a Con a couple of years back. They laughed and hugged me, what great people they are.

  • Wow, I had totally forgotten about this angle. Thanks for posting!

  • Valiant and street had a wee bit of a feud for a while in Mid atlantic, then became friends and teamed together before the days of Valiant vs Jones Army.

  • you got to boogie woogie

  • i remeber seeing this clip on georgia championship wrestling. nwa wrestling was the best with all the different regions united, simply classic. i wish nwa is still around so they could buy out wwf because they sucked.

  • I also remembered seeing this on NWA World Championship Wrestling out of Georgia. They always played video clips from the other NWA territories.

The NWA is still around but they're not as big as they once was. A lot of former WWE talent working for them including Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. Ted DiBiase's kid Mike, Jr. is currently the NWA North American Heavyweight Champion.

  • i didn't know they were still in business, but i wish they would bring back the glory days of wrestling when they taped in a studio. in my opinion vince mcmahon ruined wrestling.

  • not only did he ruin wrestling, but he ruined the careers of some great nwa wrestlers. remember buzz swayer, jyd, roddy piper, don muracco, tully blanchard, arn anderson, and look at what he did to jerry lawler, turned him into a clown.

  • 100% agreed. When I was a kid, I actually interacted with some of the heels, and they were quite nice. I remember Tio Tio putting me off (kindly) for an autograph for several weeks, only to find that he was learning to write. He chose to be a heel because he didn't expect to be asked for autographs. But in that era, you never saw Dusty giving autographs unless on camera.

  • jimmy valiant was cool in the 70s but i swear this guy turned into a fuckin monkey! the convusions are a laugh riot

  • was miss linda played by miss elizabeth before she went to the wwf?

  • Nope. Two totally different women. Linda and Adrian are still a couple. I heard Adrian finally proposed to her a couple of years ago.

Savage did get the idea from these two, tho.

  • thanks for the reply, i havnt checked back in a while.

  • Yes, Linda and Adrian have been effectively commonlaw "married" for quite some time, having several children, prior to the actual marriage (according to Adrian's website). Savage, according to Adrian's website, asked for Adrian's advice on several topics. The fact that "Randy" during Savage's UK tour, could be taken in a different context, was amusing.

  • Jimmy sold great....looks like he might have severe head injuries from this one!

Adrian was 20 years to soon with his gimmick.

  • These 2 videos were originally broadcast on May 12 1984 & May 19 1984 respectively. Jimmy Valiant didn't come to Mid Atlantic Wrestling until late 1981. This looks like it was a clip from Georgia wrestling.

  • Adrian Street was absolutely one of my favorites. I HATED 'Da Boogie Woogie man and I loved watching anyone who beat his ass. The Sweet Transvestite clip of Street is another great clip. Definetly one of a kind!

  • this is between 83-86,didnt you hear him singing the culture club?

  • jimmy would kiss annoucers on da lips, but Ms Linda on da cheek ,Idont get it

  • miss linda wasn't a bad looking broad.

  • Miss Linda is quite the fox in her own way.

  • I remember seeing this footage being played on Georgia Championship Wrestling.

  • I would agree with 83-84 considering the set for Mid Atlantic and seems to be an arena show rather than the TV studio. Right before the switch of names to NWA pro.

  • Considering he called Adrian Boy George, I would think 83-84.

  • I guess I can only say that this looks like the angle I saw in 1978. It's always possible that they ran this angle twice with a gap of 5 - 6 years inbetween each run.

  • popculturestu,

That angle occurred sometime in the Summer of 1978. My Dad took the family on a Summer vacation trip to Kiawah Island off the coast of South Carolina in 1978. I was lucky to catch a bit of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and saw the airing of the second bit where Adrian Street knocked-out Jimmy Valiant during that vacation. Great stuff!

  • legit tough dude

  • Great! Interestingly, Adrian rather lost most of his accent by then (although it's still noticeable). The more Adrian Street, the better.

  • haha
