I absolutely love this piece! I played it for my grade 8 TCL exam. You are a fantastic pianist! If you don't mind a wee bit of constructive criticism, I think you are a bit heavy handed in this piece, it is meant to be very tranquil and fast but not rushed. You are very talented :)

Absolutly beautiful. Usually a rocker myself and love rock music, but this is sometimes what I just look for to help relax and unwind. This what I would call - possibly - evening music as with rock music being morning music, first thing that is. Don't surpose this can be transcribed onto an electric guitar. LOVE IT.

This is beautiful! I've always thought that Chinese traditional music should be harmonized by contemporary composers or at least in the style of Ravel or Debussy because their music always evoked natural beautiful scenes. I do believe there are some, just can't find it yet.

I have 2 recordings of this same arrangement by Shi Shucheng and Eileen Huang. It has long been one of the pieces that I go to when I need a little serenity. I think you do a wonderful job with it, though Huang's playing may be a little more flowing. A joy to listen to this nevertheless.

Try to get your hands on the Recording by Jie Chen. I think she does the best interpretation. Lang Lang does one, but I think he is overly expressive.

I am Cantonese (Quong Dong Lo) and played this piece several decades ago with a Chinatown orchestra in San Francisco, where the Chinese population is predominantly Cantonese. This music is very old. The piano transcription here is very nice. I see others like it, too. I wish someone will upload Cantonese orchestral music, for all to enjoy.

I'm sorry, but this is TERRIBLE playing. First of all, you're playing it vivace, when it's supposed to be over a CALM lake. Second, this piece seriously needs tempo rubato, or else it'll turn into a Baroque prelude, which you don't want.
