I road across the USA twice, including this summer at age 62. If anyone is inclined to try this kind of ride, it's not as hard or as expensive as you might imagine. I have a little advice and pictures on my blog:
Im doing this summer of 2012 as my Graduation trip, i see that some of your trails are not roads like where the planes flying over, how did you find a path from point to point, or did you just use a map as you went?
it's pretty cheap actually, we camped out all the time and ate simple foods...the biggest expense is flying to maine with the bike...and then home from Florida
Nice video, and you lot are crazy from Maine to Miami thats a LoOooOOoong way down. BTW, somebody once said that if the inhabitants of New York are Now Yorkers, then those who live in Maine must be Maniacs... hehehe.
It seams like you guys had loads of fun! Supervideo! Two months and then I will do the same route (only in opposite direction) After your video I can't wait!

it's take a long time, about 48 days and 12 hours to be exact.

@Duzaster Thats surprising because the Tour du Canada, a trip from the Pacific to the Atlantic, only takes 57 days and is 8000km.
